    Thread. Have just been watching "Ukraine Under Fire" and I must say that it is a revelation. The parallels to the Maydan protests in Ukraine in 2014 and our own "Farm Laws" protests are eerily similar.

    Good table. Non-data driven Sunday evening thesis: contest more bipolar in Western UP, which mimicked 2019, and less in East, which mimicked 2017. Will wipe egg off face, or not, after crunching numbers in a week or so. So vote differential *was* a key metric, as thought.

    It was not a meltdown for BJP in minority dominated districts for BJP in 2022. Actually if you see BJP out scores SP in actual numbers. 34 to BJP vs. 32 to SP. Yes minority consolidation here ensured that it was not a sweep like in 2017 when BJP won 50/66 seats I am Data Driven

    The best piece of the 2022 UP election season (and such a refreshing change from trite-MSM or jingoistic-partisan cringe analysis). Every single aspect analysed by was confirmed by the results. Man knows his state!

    What vigour India gets from Germany’s decision to arm Ukraine, shut Nord Stream2? Energy costs have risen & arming Ukraine prolongs conflict with collateral damage all round. Having our own think tanks sh’d increase our capacity to think for ourselves not echo western thinking.

    Lot of confusion on what needs to be done, and what can be done, but no confusion on not doing anything

    We are now in contact with the Polish government following the statement issued today. As we have said, the decision about whether to transfer Polish-owned planes to Ukraine is ultimately one for the Polish government. (1/4)
