    Trashy, economically illiterate stuff⬇️. @ 25k/mth, the avg delivery partner earns $4k/yr, 2x of India's per-capita income (higher than wages in celebrated Chinese/Vietnamese/BD sweatshops). This reflects progress, not desperation @ specific skill levels...

    Zomato's founder is worth an estimated $650m after the firm's IPO. Zomato's 161,000 'delivery partners' know little of that, earning Rs20 for a 4km delivery + Rs5 for each km extra.

    Great thread. Well on course to vaccinate 80-90% of adult population by Dec-Jan. Given 41% of India’s population is <18 and almost 25% population is <12 (nowhere the world 0-12 have been vaccinated), absolutely irrelevant to use a measure like vaccinated as % of full population

    Updating this for the 2nd week of August. As it is our 75th Independence Day, the first of several pieces of good news is that August vaccinations will cross 75 million on the 15th, meaning it is well on track to hit the estimated 150 million for the full month. 1/
