Scott Mitchell is the name of:
Scott Mitchell (born 2 September 1985 in Ely, Cambridgeshire) is an English professional footballer who plays for Lowestoft Town as a defender.
Mitchell began his career with Ipswich Town. He made his debut against Derby County in November 2003 and made four appearances for the first-team. He was not offered a new contract at the end of the 2005–06 season and joined Scottish Division One side Livingston in May 2006 on a two-year contract, where he made over 40 first-team appearances for the club. He joined Peterborough United on a short-term contract in January 2008 and made five appearances for Peterborough in Football League Two. He then joined Conference National side Rushden & Diamonds in June 2008. In August 2009, Mitchell joined the Suffolk coastal side Lowestoft Town playing in the Isthmian League Division One North.
Scott Mitchell (born September 10, 1989 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian football offensive linemen for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. In the Canadian Football League’s Amateur Scouting Bureau final rankings, he was ranked as the best player for players eligible in the 2011 CFL Draft. He was then drafted second overall by the Edmonton Eskimos in the draft and signed with the team on May 31, 2011. After playing for three seasons with the Eskimos, he signed as a free agent with the Argonauts. He played college football with the Rice Owls.
His sister, Seanna, has represented Canada at several international swimming competitions and won a bronze medal as a member of its 4x100 freestyle relay.
