    At the Olympics, Jamaican hurdler accidentally showed up to the wrong venue for his race. A young woman gave him taxi money to get to the right stadium. He won gold. Then, he tracked down the woman to say thank you. It's beautiful.

    Finally someone said what needed to be said. And why do people still take & it’a terrible leadership (with history of appropriating ideas) seriously enough to waste their mental space. Zuck used “meta verse” meme to distract from the actual damage FB does!

    I shared some thoughts on the Metaverse with our view that technology should be in service to us, as human beings, and not the other way around. The AR future that we imagine is designed to enhance our connection to the world around us and to one another.

    The $ being raised by unicorns and decacorns is a terrible metric. Sure, more $$$ is flattering, but how is it being spent? Not every “unicorn” I know can do that efficiently or effectively.

    The planet is on fire and we need to make quicker and bolder progress to cut carbon emissions. Over the past 18m, 1/3 of our investments at have been in climate/energy and we would love to back more founders that have made fighting climate change their mission!🌳🌏

    Global warming will get progressively worse and cannot be stopped over the next 30 years, a major new UN report has concluded, because the world's nations delayed so long in curbing emissions. A hotter future is now essentially locked in.

    Bottom line, world is going to need more functioning and cooperating government worldwide over next 2-3 decades. Opposite trends there the last few years. Tech possible savior, but Deus ex Machina based hopes are not a plan.
