Yes! (Chad Brock album)

Yes! is the second studio album released by country music artist Chad Brock. Lead-off single "A Country Boy Can Survive (Y2K Version)", featuring George Jones and Hank Williams, Jr., is a rewritten version of Williams' hit "A Country Boy Can Survive", rewritten to address the Y2K problem. This song peaked at #30 on the country charts in late 1999. Following it were the title track, which became Brock's only Number One hit in mid-2000, and finally "The Visit" at #21.

Maria Gaidar

Maria Yegorovna Gaidar (Russian: Мари́я Его́ровна Гайда́р; 1990–2004 Smirnova (Russian: Смирно́ва); born 21 October 1982, Moscow) is a Russian political activist and since July 2015 a vice-governor of Odessa Oblast in Ukraine. From 2009 till 2011 Gaidar was a deputy governor in Kirov Oblast in Russia. She is also the founder of the Youth movement "DA!" ("Yes!").

Personal life

Maria Gaidar is the daughter of former Russian Prime Minister, Yegor Gaidar. She is a granddaughter of Soviet admiral Timur Gaidar, and a great-granddaughter of famous Soviet writers Arkady Gaidar and Pavel Bazhov. Maria's parents divorced in 1985, three years after she was born. Gaida stayed with her mother, Irina Smirnova. In 1991 the family moved to Cochabamba, Bolivia, where they lived for five years. In 1996 she returned to Moscow.

In 2000 she entered and in 2005 graduated summa cum laude from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Gaidar is fluent in English, German, Spanish and her native Russian. In 2011, she was admitted to Harvard University for a Mid-Career Masters in Public Administration, where she studied for 8 months. In 2014 she graduated from Kutafin Moscow State Law University.

Yes is an album by alternative rock band Morphine, released in March 1995. It was their first album to make the Billboard Top 200, but fared less well abroad than its predecessor.

Venture (video game)

Venture is a 1981 fantasy-themed arcade game by Exidy. It was ported to the ColecoVision, Atari 2600, and Intellivision home systems.

Gameplay

The goal of Venture is to collect treasure from a dungeon. Winky is equipped with a bow and arrow and explores a dungeon with rooms and hallways. The hallways are patrolled by large, tentacled monsters named Hallmonsters, which cannot be killed, injured, or stopped in any way. Once in a room, Winky may kill monsters, avoid traps and gather treasures. If they stay in any room too long, a Hallmonster will enter the room, chase and kill them. In this way, the Hallmonsters serve the same role as "Evil Otto" in the arcade game Berzerk. The more quickly the player finishes each level, the higher their score.

The goal of each room is only to steal the room's treasure. In most rooms, it is possible (though difficult) to steal the treasure without defeating the monsters within. Some rooms have traps that are only sprung when the player picks up the treasure. For instance, in "The Two-Headed Room", two 2-headed ettins appear the moment the player picks up the prize.

Venture magazine is a business management magazine. It focuses on business best practices. It is used by business leaders to learn from their colleagues' successes and challenges.

History and profile

Venture was founded in 1979 by Arthur Lipper, who sold it to Family Media in 1988. The Washington Post reported that its 1988 circulation was 450,000.

Venture (department store)

Venture was a chain of discount department stores operating across Australia. It was developed by South Australian department store John Martins and was first opened in 1970. The chain grew to cover much of the country. It was later sold to the Cookes family which purchased the Waltons chain of department stores in 1987 and promptly closed it down, converting most of the stores to the Venture banner. In 1994, the company went bankrupt due to financial difficulties and soon after, it was closed down. The demise of Venture accelerated the national expansion of Harris Scarfe and the statewide expansion of FitzGeralds in Tasmania (FitzGeralds would be merged with Harris Scarfe a year later).
