Old vine (French: vieilles vignes, German: alte Reben), a common description on wine labels, indicates that a wine is the product of grape vines that are notably old. There is a general belief that older vines, when properly handled, will give a better wine. There is no legal or generally agreed definition for old.
Grape vines can grow for over 120 years. After about 20 years vines start to produce smaller crops, and average yields decrease, leading to more concentrated, intense wines. Diseases such as "dead arm" can also afflict old vines, in some cases further concentrating the juice. "Old vines" might apply to an entire estate, or it might mean only a certain parcel planted before others. In the U.S., the most common use is on Zinfandel, because in California vineyards up to 125 years old are still bearing small amounts of prized Zinfandel fruit.
In a place where wine production is longstanding, it often means a wine whose vines are thirty to forty years old. Some wine makers insist the vines should be older than this. In newly established wine regions, twenty years might be old. The definition is further complicated by the fact that certain varieties simply do not have economically viable yields when they get truly ancient.

In Flames is a Swedish metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. Since the band's inception, they have released eleven studio albums, three EPs, and one live DVD. As of 2008, In Flames has sold over 2 million records worldwide.
In Flames was founded in 1990 by Jesper Strömblad as a side project from his then-current death metal band, Ceremonial Oath. His purpose was to write songs with a more melodic musical direction, something which he was not allowed to do in Ceremonial Oath. In 1993, Strömblad decided to quit Ceremonial Oath due to musical differences and began focusing more on In Flames. That same year, Strömblad recruited Glenn Ljungström on guitar and Johan Larsson on bass guitar to form the first official In Flames line-up.
The trio recorded a demo and sent it to Wrong Again Records. In order to increase their chances of getting signed to the label, the group lied and said they had thirteen songs already recorded, when in fact they only had three. The owner of the label enjoyed the music, and immediately signed them to the label.

Down[D] town tonight,I saw an old flame someone[G] who,
I[A] used to take comfort from[G] long before I met[D]
you,[A],,
I cought a[D] spark from her eye,a forgotten[G] desire,
With a[A] word or a totch love I[G] could have rekindled
that[D] fire.
[Chorus]
But[D] old flames cant hold a candle to[G] you,
[A]No one can light up the night like you[D] do,[A],,
Flickering[D] embers of love I've known one or[G] two,
But[A] old flames cant hold a candle to[D] you,
Sometimes at night I think of the lovers I've known,
And I remember how holding them,
Helped me not feel so alone,
Then I feel you beside me,and even their memories are
gone,
Like the stars in the night, lost in the sweet light of
dawn,
