Okay guys I’m just gonna say this, if you get mentioned in any of these Ray Ban charity event posts. DO NOT CLICK ON IT. It is a phishing website. DO not click on it unless you have the correct add blockers and safety precautions. I’ve gotten mentioned in at least 20 of these at this point, and a lot of them are from people I follow. That is because they have been hacked. They clicked on this link and their account was hacked. Please don’t click on this. I’m just bringing some more awareness to this.
This NEEDS more reblogs than likes (at the moment it does)
REBLOGING THIS WILL SPREAD IT FASTER THAN IF YOU JUST LIKE IT, WHICH MEANS MORE PEOPLES BECOME AWARE.
Thank you and have a good day, DON’T CLICK THE LINKS!!
Authorities have just raised the threat level to 4/4. They recommend you do not use subways and underground trams. Please stay safe.
If you’re from another country, check with your own authorities and read and follow their advice.
Brussels is under attack right now. Stay safe, stay indoors. Do not use public transportation.
Please stay safe in Brussels! All public transportation are stopped! If you must contact someone, try data or social media because the phone services are flooded and if you live in Belgium, they started an emergency call number: 1771
my thoughts are with you, your loved ones and the ones you lost.
me: Gosh I got to fill out copyright forms all day.
person: Where.....iFunny?
me: Nope
person: Instagram?
me: Nope
person: Wow, where?
me: YouTube! People are making videos and vines using my photos and trying to make money off them. They are even selling shirts! Wow aren't they going to be surprised when their videos and vines are pulled!
Start by opening the offending post in a side window (it is easiest to do this all on a computer)
See the little 3 dots and the bottom of the post, click on them and the window pops up. See the “Flag this Post”, click that. Below is the next page.
The above comes up next, see the “This violates Tumblrs ……” click to the far right so that the check mark comes up and the “continue” goes from grey to blue. click continue
From there it is just a series of windows (all the ones below). First misuse then, copyright, then misattribution (Yes), then the tricky one, did you post here on Tumblr or DeviantArt. If you posted both, chose the Tumblr one as long as it was before the offending repost. Then have the original URL of YOUR post. It goes into the top. That is why you must bring up the original offending repost in the side window because it auto fills it. Fill in your real name and the ‘submit and block’ will be active. Click that and done.
Now, you will then get an email, make sure you look for it. The first email will be “Hey we got it and will look into it”. After a few days, you will get another. Read it. It will either ask for more information (how did you make it, ect.) IF it is a digital drawing, give them the program that you used. Then open the original and screen shot it so they can see layers and such. Send it to them politely. They have yet to fail me. Or, the email is simply to inform you that the post has been removed.
If this is not clear or you need more information, just send me an Ask. I am always happy to help.
Here’s the thing, if someone you admire reblogged it from the reposter, have no worries. It does not reflect on the rebloggers, only the reposter. Tumblr still has a 3 strikes policy for copyright infringement.
If I send you a “Hey thanks for reblogging my photos, I appreciate it but I noticed that you reposted the photo earlier, please do not repost my photos” and you send me back a douchey response………I wasn’t going to before……….hell yes NOW you get a copyright infringement slapped against you. I don’t care now that it was just a screenshot of your phone, it is still a repost of a picture of mine without credit, link or watermark.
My thoughts and prayers go to those who are being effected by Huracán Patricia. For those that wish to help please use the links below to donate funds to assisting charities. For those in the storm please do your best to stay safe and please keep the world updated as much as you can.
