I forgot my login details
I forgot the email address associated with my SoundCloud account

If you can’t sign in because you don’t know the email address associated with your account, try the following:
- If you know the profile URL (e.g. alex or http://soundcloud.com/alex), you can use that to sign in. Please remember to type in just the last part, e.g alex
- If you don't know your profile URL, try to use SoundCloud’s search function to find your account on your computer or mobile browser or by simply going here.
You will be able then to sign up on your computer using your profile URL and your password.

I forgot my password

If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it. To do so:
- On iPhone and Android, click on Forgot your password? at the sign-in screen
- On web, go to the Forgot password page

What type of subscription is for me?

We have different types of subscriptions depending on how you want to use SoundCloud, are you a creator or a listener?

We now have two creator subscription offerings:

How do I know if my subscription is canceled?

Using a computer, log in to your account and visit soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions and click the "Edit" button to manage your current subscription.

If your plan status EXPIRES, you will not be charged again in the future.

Alternatively, if your plan status RENEWS, you have not cancelled your plan and will be charged at the next payment date.

Please note that at the moment only Go+ subscription status is available on the mobile app - Pro and Pro Unlimited plan status is not displayed and can be checked only on the desktop version.
How can I change my credit card or payment method?

I want to change my credit card information

If you would like to change your credit card information this is not possible if you have already cancelled your current subscription. You will need to purchase a new subscription after the current subscription expires.

However, during an active subscription that has not been cancelled, you can update your card details by signing into your account from a computer and going to your Subscriptions page.

Click on the 'Use a different card' option next to your current details:

Then, enter in your new card details and save the changes.

I want to switch to PayPal or change my PayPal account

If you are a PayPal-paying user and would like to change your info or are currently using your credit card and would like to switch to PayPal, you will need to make a new purchase. In this case:

1. Cancel your current plan at soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions*
2. Wait until the plan expires (you may see some tracks hidden, but they will reappear after you re-purchase). Then, log in and visit soundcloud.com/pro and choose your desired plan.
3. Fill out the details on the next page and select your desired payment method.

Depending on your card or bank, you may see a small amount charged and then immediately refunded. This is simply a test transaction so we can verify your new payment details are authorized. You will not be charged the regular amount until your account's next payment date.

How do I change my Pro subscription from monthly to yearly payments?

To switch from a monthly to a yearly Pro subscription, you will need to:
1. Cancel your monthly subscription over at soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions on a computer.
2. Once you've canceled, you will have to wait for your subscription to expire. Don't worry though, nothing is deleted from your account when your subscription expires.
3. After this, simply head over to here and make your yearly Pro purchase.
To switch from a yearly subscription to a monthly Pro subscription, you will need to follow the same steps above.
How do I change my Pro subscription billing from yearly to monthly?

To switch from a yearly to a monthly Pro subscription, you will need to:
1. Cancel your yearly subscription over at soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions on a computer.
2. Once you've canceled, you will have to wait for your subscription to expire. Don't worry though, nothing is deleted from your account when your subscription expires.
3. After this, simply head over to here and make your monthly Pro purchase.
My subscription expired and the new price is different, why?

When you purchase a plan, your initial purchase price is valid for the duration of your subscription, until your automatic billing cycle ends.

If you then purchase a new subscription after your previous cycle expires, you will be charged the current price for your selected subscription. Any former price does not apply any longer and cannot be retroactively applied.

You can always update your credit card details to keep your plan/old pricing from expiring by using a computer and visiting soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions.

I purchased a subscription for the wrong account, can I transfer it?

We can help you transfer your yearly Pro or Pro Unlimited subscription to the correct account in case you accidentally applied it to the wrong one.

Please get in touch our Payments team here and provide the profile URL of the account the subscription has been purchased on, and which account you would like it transferred onto. We will then take a look to see if the change is possible for the accounts in question.

Unfortunately we cannot transfer any monthly subscriptions, which includes Go or Go+.

In this case, you will have to cancel your monthly Pro or Go plan by logging into a computer, going to your subscriptions page and make a new purchase for the correct subscription and on the desired account when you're ready.

My payment has failed, what should I do?

There are a few reasons why your last payment might have been unsuccessful.

Please first confirm with your bank or with PayPal that they are not blocking the payment to SoundCloud and double check the following:

If you used a credit card
- Your credit card details are no longer correct (have you received a new card?)
- Your bank account has insufficient funds
- Your bank is rejecting the payment due to other reasons unknown to us
- Your card expired or the expiration date is incorrect
If you used PayPal
- Your billing agreement was cancelled at PayPal
- PayPal did not approve the payment
Otherwise, it could be that you entered your payment information over one year ago and your details need to be refreshed.

I’ve noticed an unauthorized payment on my account

If the payment is an automatic recurring charge for a plan which you initialized, it is not considered unauthorized and you may cancel future payments here: http://soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions

If you don't recognize the payment for a plan that you did not initialize, please check whether any of your accounts have a SoundCloud Go or Pro subscription through the Subscriptions page when you are signed in.
If they do not, then please get in touch with our Support team by filing a ticket clicking on the link at the bottom of this page and provide us with the cardholder's full name and the last four digits of the card’s number (on rare occasions where we cannot trace the payment, we may require you to provide further details). If the account is a PayPal account, please provide the email associated with the PayPal account.

For other currency conversions, use this site to convert our prices to your local currency. Your transaction for a Pro or Pro Unlimited plan will be considered international, and your bank may charge you international transaction fees.

Please note: For currencies other than those listed above, prices may change depending on the exchange rate of the bank on the day the charge is processed. This applies to refunds as well.

Creator subscriptions FAQs

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

You can cancel your Pro or Pro Unlimited subscription at any time by going to your Subscriptions page using a computer (this is not possible from a mobile device).

You can find your subscription status by hitting the overflow icon '...' on the right side of the navigation bar.

Click the icon next to your current subscription status:

Then, follow the prompts to cancel your plan.

If you change your mind, you can upgrade back to a Pro subscription at anytime here.

If it's the first time you purchase a Pro subscription and you cancel it within 30 days after purchase, you will be automatically refunded. Please note that this can take up to 5 business days.

If you are not a first-time Pro subscriber and you cancel your plan, it will remain active until its expiry date and all of your features and tracks will still be up as usual until your subscription expires. You can check the "expires on" date here.

Please note: you can only re-subscribe once your current subscription expires.

How do I know if my subscription is canceled?

Pro and Pro Unlimited plan status is not displayed on the app and can be checked only on the desktop version by going to your Subscriptions page.

If your plan status EXPIRES, you will not be charged again in the future.

Alternatively, if your plan status RENEWS, you have not yet cancelled your plan and will be charged at the next payment date.

I just purchased a Pro Unlimited subscription but it's not showing on my account, what can I do?

If you have confirmed that you purchased your Pro Unlimited subscription and it doesn't show immediately on your account, please allow a few minutes for it to show up - sometimes it can take a bit of time to update the subscription status.

After a short while, please verify the status on your Subscription page.

I have a Pro Unlimited subscription, when will I be charged?

Our monthly and yearly Pro Unlimited plans both automatically renew.

However, you can opt out from automatic renewing in your account's Subscriptions page by clicking on the Edit icon and following the prompt to confirm that you would like to stop your recurring payment.

Please note that if you are within our 30 day money back guarantee period for the Pro Unlimited subscription, you will need to wait until this period expires to cancel automatic renewals.

Monthly payments

If you choose the monthly billing plan, your account will be billed automatically every 30 calendar days - the payment may not fall on the same date each month. In the event of a billing failure, you will receive an email.

Yearly payments

If you choose the annual billing plan, you will be charged every year after your initial purchase.

You can see when the plan renews automatically each month/year by logging in your account and going to your Subscriptions page.

Can I change my Pro Unlimited payment date?

There isn't away to change the date your monthly payment is taken at the moment. If it's more convenient to have payment taken on another date, please opt out from automatic renewing in your account's Subscriptions page by clicking on the Edit icon:

Your subscription will keep running for the remainder of the 30 days, and then you will become a Free user again. You can then choose to subscribe to a Pro account again through our Pro page.

What happens when I downgrade from a Pro subscription to a Basic plan?

When you downgrade to a Basic plan, your oldest uploads over the free subscription limit (180 minutes) will be hidden from listeners.

Don't worry though, nothing is deleted from your account. You will be still be able to view these hidden tracks on your Tracks page.

All your hidden tracks along with their stats and comments will be saved so that if you choose to go back to Pro, everything will be restored just as it was before.

I have a Free plan, how can I upgrade to Pro Unlimited?

Upgrade your account by navigating to our Pro page and purchase Pro Unlimited subscription.

I have a Pro plan, how can I upgrade to Pro Unlimited?

If you want more features and upload time, you will need to upgrade to a Pro Unlimited account. You can read more about what the Pro Unlimited plan has to offer here. You can upgrade to Pro Unlimited on the Pro page by selecting the Pro Unlimited option.

Please note that the current Pro subscription is being retired so in case you want to return to it after you upgrade to Pro Unlimited, it will not be possible.

You are on a yearly payment cycle

If you are currently on a yearly Pro subscription but want to upgrade to a yearly Pro Unlimited membership, you will be charged a prorated difference between the two prices. We will subtract the monetary value of the Pro days you have left from the total Pro Unlimited price. To upgrade your account, please go to our Pro page and select the Pro Unlimited option.

You are on a monthly payment cycle

If you are a monthly Pro user, your current purchase will not count towards a monthly or yearly Pro Unlimited plan. Please wait until just before your next monthly payment of your Pro plan is charged. Then, visit our Pro page and select the Pro Unlimited option. You will be able to specify your monthly or yearly Pro Unlimited preference on the following page.

Can I pause my Pro Unlimited subscription?

It is not possible to pause a subscription. However, you can opt out of automatic renewing by going to your account Subscriptions page and clicking on the Edit icon:

Follow the prompt 'Don't want to renew your plan?" to confirm that you would like to stop your recurring payment.

Please note: when canceling your subscription, previous pricing will not be transferred over to your new purchase.

SoundCloud Go General FAQs
Can I access the full SoundCloud catalogue with SoundCloud Go?

You can access 135+ million SoundCloud Go tracks in their full form is available with a SoundCloud Go+ subscription. By subscribing to SoundCloud Go+ you’ll get access to all content on SoundCloud, along with offline listening, and ad free streaming.

While you can still listen to tens of millions of tracks you can’t find anywhere else for free on SoundCloud, we’re also adding millions of tracks from major labels and indies, including latest hits. Some of that content will be accessible for free as full tracks, while some of it will be available in 30-second previews. You can identify a SoundCloud Go+ track by the GO+ marker on the top right of the track.

Please note: Whether a track is available in the Free experience or as a SoundCloud Go+ track is the choice of each rights holder.

How many devices can I use with my Go subscription?

You can have your SoundCloud Go subscription on up to three devices at a time (this limitation does not include desktop use of SoundCloud Go). If you want to sign in to a fourth device, we will ask you to confirm that you want to sign in to that one and you will be automatically signed out of the oldest session and any tracks or playlists saved for offline listening to that device will be removed. As you sign into a fourth device you will receive a notification alerting you of this change to your “older” device.

What does ad-free mean?

With a SoundCloud Go subscription there are no ad interruptions between you and your music.

Promoted tracks will still appear, even with a SoundCloud Go subscription. Here is an example of what a promoted track will look like in your Stream:

Because you have the choice to play it or not, it’s our position that a promoted track doesn’t disrupt your listening experience and is therefore not an interruptive ad.

An interruptive ad is any ad that disrupts your experience of SoundCloud--for example, an audio ad that disrupts your listening experience or a display ad that interrupts your visual experience of the SoundCloud app. SoundCloud Go removes these types of ads from your experience.

Are all the tracks available everywhere?

SoundCloud ensures that the rights holder has the ability to control how and in what countries they want their tracks to be available to listeners.

If a SoundCloud user does not have the licensing rights to release a track everywhere, they may only make it available within the countries where they have the rights to do so. As a result, the track might not be available in certain regions.

If a track is not available for offline listening in a playlist or your Library with your SoundCloud Go subscription, this is because the rightsholder of the track has chosen to disable the ability to listen to the track offline.

Where can I find my "Troubleshooting ID" on my iOS device?

The 'Troubleshooting Identifier' is a unique number that can help SoundCloud's engineering teams investigate any device-related issues by checking for logs that your SoundCloud app may produce.

If we ask you for your 'Troubleshooting ID', here's how to find it:
1. Open the SoundCloud app
2. Navigate to your library, then the More menu. Tap on the 'Troubleshooting' button
3. Tap and hold to copy the 'Troubleshooting Identifier'
.

If you don't see the 'Troubleshooting' menu in your app, then follow the instructions below to add this:
1. Open the 'Settings' app
2. Find the 'SoundCloud' settings
3. Scroll down to the 'Troubleshooting' section
4. Switch on 'Enable troubleshooting menu' (You may have to manually restart the application for the changes to take effect).

SoundCloud Go subscriptions FAQs

How do I cancel my SoundCloud Go subscription?

I purchased through Apple / iOS device

If you have purchased SoundCloud Go through the Apple App Store, you will need to cancel your subscription directly with Apple. SoundCloud unfortunately cannot assist with cancellations or refund requests if the subscription was purchased on an iOS device.

To cancel with Apple, please follow the steps provided by Apple Support - deleting your SoundCloud account will not cancel your SoundCloud Go subscription with Apple.

Paying for your SoundCloud Go subscription is more expensive through the Apple app store because of the transactional fees that Apple applies. If you would like to re-purchase at the lower price offered directly through our website, you can purchase at the SoundCloud Go purchase page.

If you cancel your first SoundCloud Go subscription, and purchase again through SoundCloud.com you will no longer be eligible for a free trial period and will be charged immediately.

I purchased on the website / Android app

Please note that you cannot cancel via the app, only using a computer.

If you have purchased SoundCloud Go from our website or Android app, you can cancel your subscription at any time before the end of your current 30-day payment period. E.g. If you purchased on December 1st, you would have until December 30th to cancel your subscription.

1. Sign into your account on a computer and go to your Subscriptions page

2. Click on the icon next to your current subscription status and follow the prompts to cancel your plan

3. You will then be redirected to the page where you will be able to cancel

If you change your mind, you can upgrade back to a SoundCloud Go subscription at anytime through our purchase page.

How do I know if my subscription is canceled?

Using a computer, log in to your account and visit soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions. If you are using a mobile device, you can always check your status in your SoundCloud app's settings. If your current plan is not reflected after a successful purchase, you can also go back to the checkout screen in your app, and select "Upgrade now".

If your plan status EXPIRES, you will not be charged again in the future.

Alternately, if your plan status RENEWS, you have not yet cancelled your plan and will be charged at the next payment date.

Please click the "Edit" button as shown above to manage your current subscription.

Will I get a refund after I cancel my Go subscription ?

We do not offer refunds for the period of time between the cancellation of your SoundCloud Go subscription and the next payment date.

When you cancel your SoundCloud Go subscription, your account stays the same until your next renewal date - so you can continue to enjoy access to full tracks, offline listening and an ad-free experience for the time period you have paid for. Once that payment period has stopped, you will be downgraded to the free SoundCloud experience.

I have a Go subscription, when will I be charged?

With the monthly SoundCloud Go subscription, the subscription renews every 30 days, so your credit card or PayPal account will automatically be billed every 30 calendar days - this means that the payment may not be taken out on the exact same date of each month.

In the event of a billing failure, you will receive an email.

At the moment, there isn't a way to change the date your monthly payment is taken. If it's more convenient to have payment taken on another date, please opt out from automatically renewing your SoundCloud Go subscription in your account's Subscriptions page by clicking on the Edit icon.

Your subscription will keep running for the remainder of the current 30-day-period, and then you will automatically convert to a Free experience again. You can then choose to subscribe to a SoundCloud Go subscription again through our SoundCloud Go purchase page using a computer.

I have purchased a Go subscription but it doesn't show, what can I do?

If you have purchased an Apple/iOS SoundCloud Go or Go+ subscription, you may need to refresh your app to acknowledge this.

Within the app, go to Library, then click on your round profile picture in the top right.
The option to restore your purchase will be on that screen.

If you purchased your SoundCloud Go subscription from our website, there may be a brief period of time before the subscription becomes live on your mobile device. To confirm that your subscription is live on your app, please go to your app’s Settings and try signing out, and back into the SoundCloud app to refresh your mobile device’s cache. Afterwards, your SoundCloud Go subscription should be live on your account.

Reporting a spam account

We're continually working to fight against spam, but sometimes we can't catch it all. With your help we'll have a better chance!

You can "Report" any account you suspect to be a fake, or spam account. This will also block that account from interacting with you, and remove previous comments, like or reposts made on your content.

You can report from the account's profile page, your notifications or messages through the “Report” button, like this:

If you see a spam comment on your own tracks you also have the option when deleting the comment to report it for spam. You will need to be signed in to delete and report comments.

All reports will be reviewed by our team, and all accounts know to be spam will be removed. We appreciate your patience while we review all the accounts reported to us.
