Welcome to Reddit Gifts—home of the world’s largest anonymous gift exchange! This User Agreement and your conduct make that possible.
Your access and use of Reddit Gifts is subject to this Reddit Gifts User Agreement and the main Reddit User Agreement (together, the “Terms”). By accessing or using Reddit Gifts, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use Reddit Gifts.
In order to access or use Reddit Gifts, you need to be 18 years or older. If you are not at least 18 years old, you may not create an account, sign up for a gift exchange, or otherwise use Reddit Gifts. By accessing or using Reddit Gifts, you represent, acknowledge, and agree that you are at least 18 years old.
Use of Reddit Gifts is subject to all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. It is your responsibility to understand whether the laws in your jurisdiction (where you access Reddit Gifts) prohibit services like this and whether any gifts you send are prohibited.
To use Reddit Gifts, you’ll need to create a Reddit Gifts account and link it to your Reddit account. If you don't have a Reddit account, you’ll need to create one. In order for Reddit Gifts to work, you must also provide accurate information about yourself, including your full name, email, and address. You are not permitted to use false information or impersonate another person through your Reddit Gifts account. If you provide inaccurate information, we may suspend or terminate your Reddit Gifts account and ban your current and future use of Reddit Gifts.
You are solely responsible for the information associated with your Reddit Gifts account and anything that happens related to your account. You must maintain the security of your Reddit Gifts account and immediately notify Reddit if you discover or suspect that someone has accessed your account without your permission. We recommend that you use a strong password that is used only with Reddit Gifts.
You will not license, sell, or transfer your Reddit Gifts account without our prior written approval.
Reddit’s Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our services. Reddit Gift’s Privacy Notice explains some important additional things you should know about the information we collect, use, and share when you use Reddit Gifts. By using Reddit Gifts, you consent to the collection and use (as set forth in Reddit’s Privacy Policy and Reddit Gift’s Privacy Notice) of this information.
Your access and use of Reddit Gifts is at your own risk. It is possible you may receive a gift you don’t like, or no gift at all. It is at your discretion to follow any guidance we may provide as part of our services, such as shipping advice or a suggested gift value. Any guidance is for informational purposes only, and you agree that we will have no liability with respect to that guidance.
You are solely responsible for shipping. Please keep your own shipping records for the gift you are sending. Reddit Gifts makes no warranties, expressed or implied, that your package will be delivered to its intended recipient.
There are no fees for use of many aspects of Reddit Gifts. However, some services, including Elves membership, may be available for purchase (“Paid Services”).
Reddit may change the fees or benefits associated with the Paid Services from time to time with reasonable advance notice of material changes; provided, however, that no advance notice will be required for temporary promotions, including temporary reductions in the fees associated with the Paid Services.
You may submit your debit card, credit card, or other payment information ("Payment Information") via Reddit Gifts to purchase the Paid Services. We use a third-party service provider to process your Payment Information. If you submit your Payment Information, you agree to pay all costs that you incur, and you give us permission to charge you when payment is due for an amount that includes these costs and any applicable taxes and fees.
When using or accessing Reddit Gifts, you must comply with these Terms and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Please review Reddit’s User Agreement and Content Policy, which are a part of these Terms and contain Reddit’s rules about prohibited content and conduct. The following conduct is also prohibited when using or accessing Reddit Gifts:
REDDIT GIFTS MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, TITLE, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, REGARDING ANY GOODS OR SERVICES OBTAINED THROUGH ACCESSING OR USING REDDIT GIFTS.
We may make changes to the Reddit Gifts User Agreement or Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the revised Reddit Gifts User Agreement or Privacy Notice and update the Effective Date at the top of the terms. If the changes, in our sole discretion, are material, we may also notify you by sending an email to the address associated with your Reddit Gifts account or by otherwise providing notice through Reddit Gifts. By continuing to access or use Reddit Gifts on or after the Effective Date of the revised Reddit Gifts User Agreement or Privacy Notice, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you must stop accessing and using Reddit Gifts before the changes become effective.
You may terminate these Terms at any time and for any reason by deleting your Reddit Gifts account and discontinuing your use of Reddit Gifts. To delete your Reddit Gifts account, contact support through this form. If you stop using Reddit Gifts without deleting your Reddit Gifts account, your Reddit Gifts account may be deactivated due to prolonged inactivity.
We may suspend or terminate your Reddit Gifts account or ability to access or use Reddit Gifts at any time for any or no reason, including for violating these Terms or our Content Policy. There are no refunds, credits, or compensation of any kind for termination of your participation in a gift exchange.
The following sections will survive any termination of these Terms or of your Reddit Gifts account: 3 (Your Privacy), 4 (Use at Your Own Risk), 6 (Things You Cannot Do), 7 (Disclaimers), and 9 (Termination).
