Work-Shop/Full-time

Sydney

Posted 22 Jun 2021

Closes 2 Jul 2021

Work-Shop runs a fun and quirky array of short courses taught by a talented line up of local artists and makers. Over the past 7 years we have engaged tens of thousands of Sydneysiders in new skills and experiences. The likes of Gemma O’Brien, Phibs, Canon, Gelato Messina and Young Henry’s have all taught classes at our space where we support established and emerging artists to share their skills.

Whilst community learning is at the heart of what we do, we also run team building workshops, activations, parties, events… if it’s creative, we love to get involved.

We’re on the hunt for a self motivated, energetic all rounder to help run the Redfern studio. Tasks are super varied and include curating the class line up, finding new teachers, social media marketing, sourcing materials, admin, customer service and setting up/packing down classes. Basically a Jack/Jill of all trades. It’s a small but mighty team and, whilst the role involves lots of fun interaction with teachers and students, it is also administration driven so a fair amount of time will be spent behind the keyboard. As such, the successful applicant must have amazing organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and enjoy a good dose of their own company 🙂

Shift times can really vary but will generally be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings (5:30pm – 9pm) and Saturday and Sunday during the day (9:30am – 4pm). Good hourly rate with bonuses for hitting targets. 20-25 hours per week on average. Perfect for someone with a flexible schedule who is passionate about creativity.

We’re looking to hire someone ASAP so get your applications in quickly!
