Hello, I’m Amanda Saint – author of novels, short stories, and feature articles.

My debut novel, As If I Were A River, came out in 2016 and my next one, Remember Tomorrow,  published in March 2019.

My short stories have been widely published in literary journals and long and shortlisted for awards such as the Fish Flash Fiction Prize; the Ink Tears Short Story Prize; and the Flash500. My tiny story, Stained Red, won the Editor’s Choice Prize at 101 Words.

When I’m not writing fiction I write features for magazines and run my creative writing business and independent publishers, Retreat West.

Nomadic by nature, over the past 22 years my husband, John, and I have travelled in Europe, Asia, the South Pacific coconut islands and Australia; and lived in New Zealand, Ireland, on a canal narrowboat and all around the UK.

Before I was a full-time writer I worked in various jobs as a marketing manager, online editor, magazine editor, communications consultant, call centre slave, waitress, pie heater, shop assistant, and more. But now it’s all about the words.
