Iraqi Kurdistan is now surrounded. He is surrounded as much by his longtime 
enemy, Erdogan's Turkey, which holds him to the north, as by those who should be 
his friends, Massoud Barzani's PDK, to the south. ---- The latter, in a strategy 
obviously dictated by Ankara, has just banned the entry of the country to a 
European delegation, come to observe the evidence of Turkish war crimes - 
bombings with white phosphorus, destroyed harvests, uprooted forests, derivative 
streams, activation of jihadist cells led by Erdogan and responsible for 
maintaining constant pressure on the populations and the Kurdish self-defense 
forces of the PKK, YPG, YPJ.
Not content with forbidding its soil to European observers, Barzani's PDK has 
been increasing since Thursday, June 11, the false accusations against this 
delegation, claiming it in the pay of the PKK, and guilty of wanting to 
destabilize the region.

Between the jihadists of Erdogan, the so-called "special forces" of Barzani, 
false peshmerga but true mercenaries, and finally, the Turkish army entering 50 
km inside the Iraqi borders, it seems obvious that Erdogan wants the end of the 
revolutionary experience in northern Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as that of Rojava. 
His delirium of Greater Turkey goes through the outright destruction of the 
Kurdish resistance.

UCL activists were part of the observer delegation in Erbil. As soon as they got 
off the plane, they were questioned, then sent back to Paris, just like dozens of 
officials, elected officials, activists, journalists from more than 10 countries. 
, also turned away upon arrival. To this number must be added 25 delegates ready 
to leave Düsseldorf, even prevented from leaving Germany. Erdogan's shadow 
extends to Berlin, Paris, Brussels ...

Meanwhile, there is barely 20% of the population of Iraqi Kurdistan who truly 
support Barzani. Corruption, insolent collaboration with Turkey, civil servants 
unpaid for months, unrest and demonstrations in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah... the PDK is 
starting to be seriously mistreated. Further south, Baghdad denounces the 
perfectly illegal entry of Turkey into its territory, frankly equating it with an 
invasion.

Refouled foreigners, communication of criminalization and defamation, the attempt 
to stifle international solidarity obviously becomes clear in the light of the 
collaboration of the PDK with the Turkish invader. This is why we must completely 
revise, reclassify the way in which the position of the PKK, YPJ and YPG is 
perceived at the international level for what it really is: the only bulwark 
against the resurgence of Daesh in the whole region, and against Erdogan's brutal 
imperialism.

Far from being the terrorist organization that Westerners are determined to keep 
on the European Council's lists, the YPJ, YPG and PKK are the only forces to dare 
to stand up to the Turkish ogre, from within from Turkey, Syria and Iraq.

The Europeans quickly forgot that it was the Kurdish resistance in Kobanê, Raqqa, 
Ifrân ... and its final victory over the Islamist caliphate that prevented an 
explosion of attacks from further bloodying Europe. It is time for them to show 
their gratitude:

By supporting the Kurdish resistance in northern Iraq and Rojava by all means.
By denouncing the illegality of Turkish claims on the region, the collaboration 
of the PDK, the collusion of EU countries.
By pushing for observers to verify the extent of Turkish war crimes and to refer 
to international legal bodies on the illegality of the Turkish presence in Iraq.
By demanding that the PKK be removed from the list of terrorist organizations.
For our part, UCL activists, we fully support the Kurdish resistance in Syria, 
Iraq and Turkey, against Erdogan and his jihadist auxiliaries, and against 
Barzani's collaboration with the Turkish invader.
