No Hats Beyond this Point is the sixth studio album by Canadian synthpop group Men Without Hats. Released in 2003, it was their first album in twelve years. After the release of the album, the group broke up.
The album's music consisted almost entirely of synthesizers, reverting to the group's previous sound. The album has virtually no drums (if any, most likely synthesized).
Lead singer Ivan Doroschuk's nieces sing back-up vocals in the tracks "Christina's World", "Telepathy" and "Roses".
The album is considered an "underground" album, a rarity that was not released to any record stores. In 2011, however, the band released the album commercially on several platforms for digital streaming and download.
All songs written by Ivan Doroschuk and Stefan Doroschuk.
(Am I only dreaming?)
Sedated, asleep now.
A vision in a dream behind my eyes.
Its dated, so old now.
Reality is a compromise.
Want to grow, beyond this.
I'm trapped in memories of my youth.
A place that, I won't miss.
My nighmares have become my...
Truth is too far from what is my reality.
Trapped in these thoughts that live here inside of me.
I run from, a past that,
is latent with pure tragedy.
Why try to, deny what,
is living deep inside of me.
What to grow, beyond this.
I'm trapped in memories of my youth.
A place that, I won't miss.
My nightmares have become my...
So spare me some of your wisdom, and I'll try to cover up my soul.
Run rampant within them, tasted their emptiness until I am full.
Or am I only dreaming?
Is reality my dream?
Am I only dreaming?
Is this just a dream?
Now I'm stuck here in my dream.
Is this just a....
So spare me some of your wisdom, and I'll try to cover up my soul.
Run rampant within them, tasted their emptiness until I am (full).
Truth is to far from what is my reality.
Trapped in these thoughts that live here inside of me.
