Rob Margeit has been an automotive journalist for over 20 years, covering both motorsport and the car industry. Rob joined CarAdvice in 2016 after a long career at Australian Consolidated Press. Rob covers automotive news and car reviews while also writing in-depth feature articles on historically significant cars and auto manufacturers. He also loves discovering obscure models and researching their genesis and history. Prior to joining CarAdvice, Rob worked at Australian Consolidated Press for many years, primarily on Australia’s leading motorsport publication, Auto Action, a title he edited for over eight years. Rob also contributed to the company’s broader motoring network including Wheels, Motor, and Top Gear. In 2010, Auto Action, under Rob’s editorship, was awarded the title of Best Motoring Magazine and Best Niche Publication at the prestigious Australian Magazine Awards. In addition to his day job, Rob was editor of the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix Official Program and V8 Supercars Australia Official Race Program.
