Pointillism
About
The application of small dots of paint to canvas to form an image. One of the techniques associated with George Seurat, who also employed divisionism, in which colors are separated into individual dots or patches that interact optically. Such scientific approaches were a hallmark of Neo-Impressionism, which attempted to provide more rigor to the process of painting optical effects.
