Cross-Cultural Dialogue
About
Artists and works that marry the styles, artistic traditions, or imagery of disparate cultures of origin. While in art history, there is a long tradition of such exchange, today one might argue that the boundaries between what is considered "foreign" or "native" have become extremely blurred. As a result, identifying cross-cultural exchange as separate from the expanding geographic and cultural boundaries of a globalized and digital world is much more difficult, if not impossible.
