In front of a mammoth crowd of 99,251, Geelong won by just two goals to win their eighth VFL/AFL premiership. The decider was a ferocious physical contest, but it also featured some sublime examples of individual skill - such as ‘that toe-poke’ from champion full-back Matthew Scarlett to Gary Ablett Jr that led to the game-clinching goal.
