TRUTH. What you need is imagination, and you don’t need to go anywhere to use it.

Yeah, sure, seeing new things is helpful as a fantasy writer. But. Don’t make the mistake of assuming that exposure to new things is the same as traveling. You know what else exposes you to new things?  The internet. Documentaries. Books. Freaking Youtube. So when you’re bored of cats and cooking tutorials, go on an adventure!

You wanna write create some fantasy creatures but don’t know where to start? Go check out some videos The Weird Creatures Earth has Had.

Want some inspiration for your Super Evil Villain’s Villanous Deeds?

Or maybe you want some weird locations to kick start your Fantasy World Terraforming?

Or maybe you need knowledge of bunches of historical places and cities and cultures?

But maybe you’re basing fantasy on the modern world?

Okay but lets say you want to start from the same inspiration as GRRM? (and part two!)

That’s just the stuff I could quickly grab. Things I’m subscribed to, that I know offhand. There is So. Much. Stuff. Online.

The best thing about the internet is that it means its not just the fortunate sons that get to learn, and explore and imagine and write. We get to see stories from all over the place, from all sorts of people, who bring All Kinds of New Ideas.

To all the homophobes

Would you ever allow a stranger to decide who to have sex with? Which position to have it in? Where to have sex? Would you let someone else decide who you can be intimate with or how ever many people you can be intimate with? Or perhaps you'll let random person you've met in a grocery store to tell you and decide for you whom and how you'll find comfort in on your bad days?

NO RIGHT? You won't.

Then why the fuck do you get to decide for everyone belonging to LGBTQA+ ??!?¿¿?

It doesn't involve you ,has nothing to do with you so it shouldn't matter to you and if it still does then go fuck yourself .!!

PERIOD.

Can people stop acting like having a gender crisis or being unsure of your gender is some fun cool trendy thing and making it into some quirky phase that teens and twenty year olds with no personality do when they’re bored instead of the serious and honestly quite draining thing that trans and oftentimes SSA people go through growing up and struggle with sometimes all of our lives? Damn.

"archaeologists will call you female when they look at your skeleton 😈" Okay but have you considered the fact that I will be dead? Not only dead, but so long dead there's probably no living human around that even knew who I was. I honestly don't get why people say this as if its some cool come back to me being trans lmao. I literally couldn't give less of a fuck about what some person who might dig up my bones hundreds of years in the future thinks about me. What's going to happen? Will my consciousness suddenly restart so I can feel bad about it? No, therefore it isn't something on my list of pressing issues relating to my transness.

cis people love to label trans people as confused or predatory or weird until it becomes trendy for them to label themselves as openly queer or an ally when in reality they hide some of the nastiest most vile shit beneath the surface

others attempt to be "supportive" and end up making dysphoria inducing content that just draws attention to people's agabs without any warning whatsoever, some of the worst examples I've found always end up calling trans men their pretty boys and straight up fetishize trans women

they absolutely love to separate trans men from cis men when they talk about hating "all" men and are only supportive of trans people when it suits them, the moment they see a trans person do something WRONG or a cis person do something wrong it's time to either be transphobic and misgender them as some kind of gotcha or separate all trans people from cis people entirely further dividing us in all the wrong ways

so many blogs on here openly fetishize trans women and make it seem like a fun sex thing that you can put on and take back off again

don't even get me started about how tiktok users have fetishized the concept of being nonbinary and watered it down to just being gnc in some cases or have turned non-binary people some weird aesthetic of an afab person with one million neo pronouns and a love of frogs completely erasing amab nonbinary people and ignoring the fact that nonbinary people are diverse

not to mention that the trans community is whitewashed as hell with trans poc rarely being seen unless it's an ad from a big company trying to use rainbow capitalism and shallow diversity to make a quick buck

or the way cis people deadass tried to define pansexuality as being attracted to twans people too uwu as if all the other sexualities dont already do that because we aren't some magical new gender or way you can be attracted to people

I could literally go on about all the bullshit you all have done to the community

it's fine to be trans in any way and fit into different stereotypes but for fucks sake can cis people please stop trying to turn us into their toys that they can put on a shelf and then break like it's no big deal

There's no such thing as being "too young" to be LGBTQ+.

There's no such thing as being "too old" to be LGBTQ+.

Even if your identity changes over time or if you're not sure of it yet, that's okay! No one's ever been told that they're too old or young to be cishet, so how could you to be too young or old to know that you're gay, or lesbian, or bi, or trans, or pan, or ace, or aro, or nonbinary, or any other queer identity?

There's no time limit on discovering who you are!
