    The Left and Congress’ collapse or capitulation in WB may have held back the BJP this time around but it would lead to complete decimation of their electoral base in due course. Going forward the BJP will be the only challenger to the TMC and custodian of the alternate narrative.

    BJP’s rise in Bengal from 3 to 75 (counting in progress) is phenomenal, marks a tectonic ideological shift in WB’s politics where the subalterns, for the first time, have asserted themselves to realise their aspirations. Bengal’s politics is now bipolar, BJP principal opposition.

    It is one thing to win an election, but it is quite another thing to wreak vengeance on the opposing side. I am yet to hear the ruling Trinamool Congress urge its supporters to refrain from violence. BJP workers all over the state are being targeted. This must stop.

    Arvind Kejriwal is a liar. Delhi Govt asked for 470 MT of oxygen. The Center allocated 490 MT, which it has increased to 590 MT. But as on 26Apr, Delhi Govt had lifted only 361.9 MT. People in Delhi are dying because Kejriwal isn’t doing enough to pick the oxygen allocated...

    Delhi has been at the receiving end of successive Covid waves because when Arvind Kejriwal should have been building new hospitals and increasing beds, he was busy peddling Mohalla Clinics. Here is an example of what a disaster even these Mohalla Clinics have been. What a fraud!

    The first time around India locked down to manage Covid cases, Arvind Kejriwal along with other opposition ruled CMs, routinely opposed it citing loss of revenue to the State. Kejriwal even rushed to open liquor shops. Now that he has to decide, extended lockdown is the norm!

    Arvind Kejriwal needs to explain why his government didn’t respond for 5 hours... So many lives could have been saved. Why is he not doing enough to lift the oxygen allocated to Delhi and ensure hospitals have adequate supply? This is criminal.

    Supplier has written that 200 MT Oxygen is ready but Delhi is not lifting. It is high time Arvind Kejriwal actually did something to bring the allocated Oxygen to Delhi instead of constantly bickering and indulging in petty politicking. He must realise that people are dying.

    Justice Chandrachud: Is it your case that inability of Delhi to get oxygen because of NCT govt is not able to lift it? SG: I have a letter from the supplier saying 200 MT is ready but Delhi is not lifting SC: what is the solution? what do we tell people vying for one?

    Delhi is in the midst of a raging pandemic but Arvind Kejriwal is sleeping on the wheels. Against a demand of 470 MT, Delhi has been allocated 490 MT but Delhi has not been able to lift even this quantity due to logistical issues... Incompetence of Delhi Govt was exposed in SC.

    SG: many states have handled at very effectively. As per realistic estimate may be a Delhi has got 400 MT of oxygen, like Delhi they are not able to lift the quantity due to logistical issues. May be shortage of cryogenic tankers. More and more tankers will ease problem

    Imagine a fake news peddler, who was taken off air for vicious, motivated reporting, in violation of all broadcasting norms, which could have led to massive bloodshed and rioting in the national capital, is preaching on “moral stature”. Irony just died a million times...

    Now that “sham” elections are over perhaps ⁦⁩ can hold “real” elections to decide who has moral stature to rule and who has not? Only condition: Only those who have at least once been sacked/suspended from their jobs for spreading fake news be allowed to vote.

    If Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal could organise everything for protesting “Aandolan-Jeevis”, from electricity to WiFi in a matter of hours, how come AAP MLA Shoaib Iqbal doesn’t have confidence in his own party’s leader’s ability to manage Covid? Or is the AAP now looking for excuses?
