May is #AAPIHeritageMonth and all month long (and beyond) we'll be spotlighting research, resources, and more rooted in the social and behavioral sciences. To start, we've pulled together a freely accessible research collection. Access it at the 🔗 in bio. The U.S. Census considers numerous countries and territories to fall under “Asian” and “Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander” in its race and ethnicity question. Yet, these identities are distinct, and persistently treating them as a monolithic grouping will lead to erasure. This collection of research by and about scientists with varying identities does more than dive into the impact of the pandemic, stereotyping, intersectionality, media depictions, and other factors across the AAPI community. It also takes a wider look at how stereotypes, colonization, imperialism, and racism impact Asian and Pasifika communities abroad.

Applications are now open for the SAGE Concept Grants! We are offering funding of up to $20,000 to build or scale up a new software tool that supports social science research.
