9. THE SODDER CHILDREN
On what seemed like a normal Christmas Eve in 1945, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, couple George and Jennie Sodder and their 9 kids went to bed, eager for Christmas morning!! A fire broke out around one o’clock A.M., and George, Jennie, and four of the kids escaped.
8. CRYPTIC COP KILLER
On September 7, 1959, Officer Douglas Eugene Cantrill of the Davis, California Police Department was killed in the line of duty near a railroad track in a residential part of town. A young couple discovered his slain body in his patrol car, which was still running with its lights on. Officer Cantrill was sitting in the front seat with his legs hanging out the open door, a single bullet through the heart, and his .38 caliber pistol on the ground.
7. Dyatlov Pass Incident
A group of 10 young-but experienced, cross-country skiers, trekked into the Ural Mountains near Yekaterinburg, Russia for what was supposed to be a three-week trip to Mount Ortorten. What happened to them remains one of the greatest mysteries of all time.
6. Maura Murray’s Disappearance
On February 9, 2004, 21-year-old nursing student Maura Murray packed up her dorm room belongings, withdrew cash from an ATM, and hit the road. She emailed one of her professors, explaining that there was a death in the family, although there wasn’t, and that she would be gone for a week. Her 1996 Saturn was found crashed into a tree in Woodsville, New Hampshire.
5. THE HAVANA EMBASSY MYSTERY
In late 2016, CIA agents posing as American diplomats in Havana, Cuba experienced an array of bizarre symptoms, including loud, mechanical sounds akin to chirping crickets. The individuals were ultimately treated for hearing loss, nausea, headaches, and other concussion-like symptoms.
4. Sleeping Sickness Epidemic
Starting in the winter of 1916-17, a strange neurological sickness called Encephalitis lethargica began spreading across Europe and, eventually, elsewhere. It’s estimated that over one million people were afflicted with the condition during this unexplainable period, which lasted into the 1930s.
3. ROMANS IN BRAZIL
In 1982, a marine archaeologist named Robert Marx discovered around 200 intact Roman jars, or amphorae, on the seafloor about 15 miles off the shore of Brazil’s Guanabara Bay. The presence of amphorae, which were used as shipping containers, often indicates that a Roman shipwreck is nearby, leading to the shocking idea that the Ancient Romans may have reached the Americas hundreds of years before the earliest European explorers were known to arrive there.
2. The Pollock Sisters
In 1957, sisters Joanna and Jacqueline Pollock tragically died when they were hit by a car in the small English town of Hexham. A year after the accident, their devastated parents went on to have twin girls, named Gillian and Jennifer. John, the twins’ father, had predicted that Joanna and Jacqueline would be “reborn” through the new babies, and at first, his wife, Florence, was skeptical of this idea.

When the swimming pool belonging to the Salomons, a Northridge, California family of four, overflowed and spilled into the neighbor’s yard in 1982, nearby residents realized that the home’s occupants had vanished.

It's a Mystery (CITV)
It's a Mystery was a networked Children's ITV programme which ran for five series from 1996–2002. It was produced by The Media Merchants Television Company Ltd and Meridian Broadcasting Ltd. In Series five, the show was retitled as Mystery.
Format
It was a programme that educated children by challenging them to solve a mystery. Usually this would involve people telling stories of mysterious occurrences that have happened to them, such as a Man in a Van driving up to a roundabout and seeing his exact duplicate across the roundabout, driving the same vehicle. Other times, the presenter would show unexplained phenomena such as ghosts in the Tower of London or the Loch Ness Monster. The presenter would then offer up possible explanations as to what might have been behind the mystery or if there is even an explanation to give. After each story, it would be given a solved or unsolved designation. At the end of each episode, a riddle would be asked for the audience to solve until the next episode (where the answer would be given).

Vanilla Fudge
Vanilla Fudge is an American rock band known predominantly for their extended rock renderings of contemporary hit songs, most notably "You Keep Me Hangin' On" and "Some Velvet Morning". The band's original lineup—vocalist/organist Mark Stein, bassist/vocalist Tim Bogert, lead guitarist/vocalist Vince Martell, and drummer/vocalist Carmine Appice—recorded five albums during the years 1966–69, before disbanding in 1970. The band has reunited in various configurations over the years, and is currently operating with three of the four original members, Mark Stein, Vince Martell, and Carmine Appice with Pete Bremy on bass for Tim Bogert, who has retired from touring. The band has been cited as "one of the few American links between psychedelia and what soon became heavy metal."
History
Stein and Bogert played in a local band called Rick Martin & The Showmen. The pair were so impressed by the swinging sound and floods of organ of The Rascals they decided to form their own band with Martell and Rick Martin's drummer, Joey Brennan. Originally calling themselves The Pigeons, they changed the name to Vanilla Fudge in 1966, after the replacement of Brennan by Appice. The group was then "discovered" and managed by reputed Lucchese crime family member Phillip Basile, who operated several popular clubs in New York. Their first three albums (Vanilla Fudge, The Beat Goes On, and Renaissance) were produced by Shadow Morton, whom the band met through The Rascals. When Led Zeppelin first toured the USA in early 1969, they opened for Vanilla Fudge on some shows.

Plot: Serious is a complex, multi-dimensional character; on one side she is a Special Forces-trained killer working for a nefarious organization called The Committee, which hopes to own the Presidency. On the other side, she is an emotionally torn introvert, the product of an abusive childhood, who must deal with feelings of guilt over her sister's mysterious death. Unlike her previous assignments, Serious is hired to terminate JERRI, an innocent nanny for a corrupt senator with ties to The Committee. Serious reneges on the deal. Her actions result in a deadly cat and mouse game where she's forced to battle her deadly colleagues to keep the nanny alive long enough to uncover the truth behind the assassination attempt. Serious and Jerri develop a sister-like bond during the ordeal and Serious ultimately relies on Jerri's inner strength and compassion to come to terms with her sister's death.

9. THE SODDER CHILDREN
On what seemed like a normal Christmas Eve in 1945, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, couple George and Jennie Sodder and their 9 kids went to bed, eager for Christmas morning!! A fire broke out around one o’clock A.M., and George, Jennie, and four of the kids escaped.
8. CRYPTIC COP KILLER
On September 7, 1959, Officer Douglas Eugene Cantrill of the Davis, California Police Department was killed in the line of duty near a railroad track in a residential part of town. A young couple discovered his slain body in his patrol car, which was still running with its lights on. Officer Cantrill was sitting in the front seat with his legs hanging out the open door, a single bullet through the heart, and his .38 caliber pistol on the ground.
7. Dyatlov Pass Incident
A group of 10 young-but experienced, cross-country skiers, trekked into the Ural Mountains near Yekaterinburg, Russia for what was supposed to be a three-week trip to Mount Ortorten. What happened to them remains one of the greatest mysteries of all time.
6. Maura Murray’s Disappearance
On February 9, 2004, 21-year-old nursing student Maura Murray packed up her dorm room belongings, withdrew cash from an ATM, and hit the road. She emailed one of her professors, explaining that there was a death in the family, although there wasn’t, and that she would be gone for a week. Her 1996 Saturn was found crashed into a tree in Woodsville, New Hampshire.
5. THE HAVANA EMBASSY MYSTERY
In late 2016, CIA agents posing as American diplomats in Havana, Cuba experienced an array of bizarre symptoms, including loud, mechanical sounds akin to chirping crickets. The individuals were ultimately treated for hearing loss, nausea, headaches, and other concussion-like symptoms.
4. Sleeping Sickness Epidemic
Starting in the winter of 1916-17, a strange neurological sickness called Encephalitis lethargica began spreading across Europe and, eventually, elsewhere. It’s estimated that over one million people were afflicted with the condition during this unexplainable period, which lasted into the 1930s.
3. ROMANS IN BRAZIL
In 1982, a marine archaeologist named Robert Marx discovered around 200 intact Roman jars, or amphorae, on the seafloor about 15 miles off the shore of Brazil’s Guanabara Bay. The presence of amphorae, which were used as shipping containers, often indicates that a Roman shipwreck is nearby, leading to the shocking idea that the Ancient Romans may have reached the Americas hundreds of years before the earliest European explorers were known to arrive there.
2. The Pollock Sisters
In 1957, sisters Joanna and Jacqueline Pollock tragically died when they were hit by a car in the small English town of Hexham. A year after the accident, their devastated parents went on to have twin girls, named Gillian and Jennifer. John, the twins’ father, had predicted that Joanna and Jacqueline would be “reborn” through the new babies, and at first, his wife, Florence, was skeptical of this idea.

When the swimming pool belonging to the Salomons, a Northridge, California family of four, overflowed and spilled into the neighbor’s yard in 1982, nearby residents realized that the home’s occupants had vanished.

9. THE SODDER CHILDREN
On what seemed like a normal Christmas Eve in 1945, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, couple George and Jennie Sodder and their 9 kids went to bed, eager for Christmas morning!! A fire broke out around one o’clock A.M., and George, Jennie, and four of the kids escaped.
8. CRYPTIC COP KILLER
On September 7, 1959, Officer Douglas Eugene Cantrill of the Davis, California Police Department was killed in the line of duty near a railroad track in a residential part of town. A young couple discovered his slain body in his patrol car, which was still running with its lights on. Officer Cantrill was sitting in the front seat with his legs hanging out the open door, a single bullet through the heart, and his .38 caliber pistol on the ground.
7. Dyatlov Pass Incident
A group of 10 young-but experienced, cross-country skiers, trekked into the Ural Mountains near Yekaterinburg, Russia for what was supposed to be a three-week trip to Mount Ortorten. What happened to them remains one of the greatest mysteries of all time.
6. Maura Murray’s Disappearance
On February 9, 2004, 21-year-old nursing student Maura Murray packed up her dorm room belongings, withdrew cash from an ATM, and hit the road. She emailed one of her professors, explaining that there was a death in the family, although there wasn’t, and that she would be gone for a week. Her 1996 Saturn was found crashed into a tree in Woodsville, New Hampshire.
5. THE HAVANA EMBASSY MYSTERY
In late 2016, CIA agents posing as American diplomats in Havana, Cuba experienced an array of bizarre symptoms, including loud, mechanical sounds akin to chirping crickets. The individuals were ultimately treated for hearing loss, nausea, headaches, and other concussion-like symptoms.
4. Sleeping Sickness Epidemic
Starting in the winter of 1916-17, a strange neurological sickness called Encephalitis lethargica began spreading across Europe and, eventually, elsewhere. It’s estimated that over one million people were afflicted with the condition during this unexplainable period, which lasted into the 1930s.
3. ROMANS IN BRAZIL
In 1982, a marine archaeologist named Robert Marx discovered around 200 intact Roman jars, or amphorae, on the seafloor about 15 miles off the shore of Brazil’s Guanabara Bay. The presence of amphorae, which were used as shipping containers, often indicates that a Roman shipwreck is nearby, leading to the shocking idea that the Ancient Romans may have reached the Americas hundreds of years before the earliest European explorers were known to arrive there.
2. The Pollock Sisters
In 1957, sisters Joanna and Jacqueline Pollock tragically died when they were hit by a car in the small English town of Hexham. A year after the accident, their devastated parents went on to have twin girls, named Gillian and Jennifer. John, the twins’ father, had predicted that Joanna and Jacqueline would be “reborn” through the new babies, and at first, his wife, Florence, was skeptical of this idea.
1. A Vanished Family
When the swimming pool belonging to the Salomons, a Northridge, California family of four, overflowed and spilled into the neighbor’s yard in 1982, nearby residents realized that the home’s occupants had vanished.
