Justin Beadles picks up from son Jack Beadles from Stillwater Junior High School on the last day of school. Stillwater, OK. Filmed by his mom, Heather Beadles. Dad runs without hesitation through the crowd of students yelling "Jack!" with his arms flung wide, while the medals around his neck clank. Son's response is horror, then resignation and eye-rolling as he expected nothing less from his crazy dad. Surprise pick-up was not done as punishment, but as a joyful expression of a Dad's love for his son...and of course, as a way to embarass his teenager. Good clean fun. In a Speedo, swim cap, goggles and medals. What makes it even more awesome is Dad is the senior pastor at Countryside Church in Stillwater, OK.

The Strip is an area in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Washington Street. It features small shops, restaurants and live music. It is adjacent to Oklahoma State University where University Avenue and Washington Street intersect. A few blocks east is Campus Corner on Knoblock Street that features unique shops and restaurants, including the original home to Hideaway Pizza. Friday and Saturday nights it can be seen packed with locals and OSU students visiting its many bars.

Stillwater (Pawnee: Kiicawiʾuusiʾit, Kstiíriwara) is a city in north central Oklahoma at the intersection of US-177 and State Highway 51. It is the county seat of Payne County, Oklahoma, United States. As of 2012, the city population was estimated to be 46,560, making it the tenth largest city in Oklahoma. Stillwater is the principal city of the Stillwater Micropolitan Statistical Area which had a population of 78,399 according to the 2012 census estimate. Stillwater was part of the first Oklahoma Land Run held April 22, 1889, when the Unassigned Lands were opened for settlement and became the core of the new Oklahoma Territory. The city charter was adopted on August 24 later that year. Stillwater is home to Oklahoma State University, a branch of Northern Oklahoma College, Meridian Technology Center, and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.
Stillwater has a diverse economy with a foundation in aerospace, agribusiness, biotechnology, optoelectronics, printing and publishing, and software and standard manufacturing. The city operates under a council-mayor government system. The city's largest employer is Oklahoma State University. It was one of the 100 top places to live in 2010, according to CNN Money Magazine.

White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore It is a 2012 non-fiction book written by Colin Flaherty, regarding race and crime, particularly the knockout game and violent flash mobs of black people, in the United States. It is published by WND Books.
Response
Thomas Sowell praised the book, feeling that Flaherty had done better research than Sowell had for his own Intellectuals and Society on the issue of black-on-white crime, and felt that the book and its message were being ignored or silenced.John Derbyshire at VDARE described Flaherty as "an old-style just-the-facts reporter with no ideological axe to grind" and praised his work.
Alex Pareene in Salon opined that the figures presented by Flaherty were inflated and the reporting misleading, after checking the sources cited.Cathy Young in Newsday brought up the book when discussing the knockout game, and mentioned how she felt Flaherty, while in error in a particular case, brings forth a "narrative [that] raises a painful question" about the media's failure to report incidents accurately when perpetrators are black. That failure, she cautions, undermines the media's credibility and actually risks encouraging racist paranoia.

Justin Beadles picks up from son Jack Beadles from Stillwater Junior High School on the last day of school. Stillwater, OK. Filmed by his mom, Heather Beadles. Dad runs without hesitation through the crowd of students yelling "Jack!" with his arms flung wide, while the medals around his neck clank. Son's response is horror, then resignation and eye-rolling as he expected nothing less from his crazy dad. Surprise pick-up was not done as punishment, but as a joyful expression of a Dad's love for his son...and of course, as a way to embarass his teenager. Good clean fun. In a Speedo, swim cap, goggles and medals. What makes it even more awesome is Dad is the senior pastor at Countryside Church in Stillwater, OK.

The recent rains have caused high waters in many of the local creeks around Stillwater, Oklahoma. Near the headwater of Stillwater Creek, located to the west of Lake Carl Blackwell, runoff from rainfall carries a large amount of suspended red sediment derived from the Permian bedrock. Note the left stream bank (lower left of video frame behind the barbed-wire fence) has been reinforced with cobbles and boulders that appear to be limestone hauled in by the landowner (but all to no avail).

Stillwater, OK - The Oklahoma State University Police Department released the report from the collision involving an OSU student and an OSU Transit bus on Oct. 14.
Kyle Regier, 19, from Edmond, was taken to Stillwater Medical Center with a minor head injury after the bus struck his bicycle around 1:55 p.m., according to Carrie Hulsey-Greene, OSU Communications assistant director.
Both the bus and the student were traveling southbound on Monroe Street when the bicycle began to turn left into the parking lot north of the Henry-Bellmon Research Center as the bus attempted to pass Regier on the left, according to the incident report.
Both the bus having insufficient clearance to overtake the bike and Regier’s immediate left turn without signaling were considered contributing factors to the accident, according to the report.
Regier was treated and released from Stillwater Medical Center Wednesday.
When the O'Colly contacted Regier on Tuesday, he said he didn’t have much to say about the wreck.
“I don’t remember anything from Wednesday until waking up in Stillwater Medical Center,” Regier said.

Stillwater, OK - The Oklahoma State University Police Department released the report from the collision involving an OSU student and an OSU Transit bus on Oct. 14.
Kyle Regier, 19, from Edmond, was taken to Stillwater Medical Center with a minor head injury after the bus struck his bicycle around 1:55 p.m., according to Carrie Hulsey-Greene, OSU Communications assistant director.
Both the bus and the student were traveling southbound on Monroe Street when the bicycle began to turn left into the parking lot north of the Henry-Bellmon Research Center as the bus attempted to pass Regier on the left, according to the incident report.
Both the bus having insufficient clearance to overtake the bike and Regier’s immediate left turn without signaling were considered contributing factors to the accident, according to the report.
Regier was treated and released from Stillwater Medical Center Wednesday.
When the O'Colly contacted Regier on Tuesday, he said he didn’t have much to say about the wreck.
“I don’t remember anything from Wednesday until waking up in Stillwater Medical Center,” Regier said.

The recent rains have caused high waters in many of the local creeks around Stillwater, Oklahoma. Near the headwater of Stillwater Creek, located to the west of Lake Carl Blackwell, runoff from rainfall carries a large amount of suspended red sediment derived from the Permian bedrock. Note the left stream bank (lower left of video frame behind the barbed-wire fence) has been reinforced with cobbles and boulders that appear to be limestone hauled in by the landowner (but all to no avail).
