Why are you making changes?
As afr.com has evolved to meet the expectations of our subscribers our Markets Data and Company pages have remained untouched. These pages in their current form cannot deliver the high quality experience and, more critically, the reliable operation we expect from our products.
We are committed to delivering a premium digital experience across afr.com and our iOS app that meets the needs and expectations of our subscribers.
What will be changed?
We are making changes to improve the way we display Markets Data and Company pages within afr.com and our app.
We have optimised the Markets Data and Company pages by consolidating and refining our data to focus on our strengths and to support our editorial voice. We have also worked to make these pages clearer and consistent, and to have a more cohesive look and feel in line with our recent changes and improvements across afr.com.
Why have you removed some data?
We have removed some data to focus on key financial markets, specific local indices and company performance data that will support our core editorial coverage across afr.com and our app.
These changes allow us to improve our depth of data so that you can easily drill down to retrieve the data you need.
Why do you not have real-time data?
Our expertise is in our editorial analysis, insights and comprehensive reporting. The data we publish is to focus primarily on key financial markets and company performance data that support our editorial coverage. The display of delayed data serves this purpose to provide additional context to our reporting.
Why are you updating one section at a time?
In order for us to provide our subscribers with these valuable improvements as soon as possible we will be updating the Markets Data and Company pages with new components as they are built.
What's changing with company data?
We are improving Markets Data coverage across our existing Company pages. Over the next few months you will see improvements that will allow you to easily scan over data on how an ASX listed Company is performing. We will also provide a richer view of financial and analysis data to monitor and research companies of interest.
