G Flip‘s long-held love for the Collingwood Magpies has finally paid off this year because she somehow managed to squeeze the entire AFLW team into her apartment to round out the team’s Mad Monday.

Sure, she might be performing at the AFLW Grand Final clash this weekend between the Adelaide Crows and the Brisbane Lions, but the dyed-in-the-wool Collingwood fan (who I’ve witnessed watching footy games on her phone at festivals) got right around her beloved club’s end-of-season piss up on Monday night. This is honestly what Melbourne dreams are made of.

She posted a pic on Instagram apologising to her neighbours, because there was quite literally an entire footy team in her apartment having a big old hoon.

She took the liberty of having an entire footy team in her house to dress them all in her best and loudest shirts, which is everything I could have expected. I can’t imagine her Crocs collection is quite enough to cover an entire footy side yet, but I wouldn’t put it past her.

G Flip’s personal assistant Char posted up more evidence of the big Mad Monday lock-in, featuring the whole squad singing karaoke to A Thousand Miles and generally just being a big gang of ratbags. Honestly, it looks a lot like footy club hoons I’ve been to, and it’s so bloody nice to see them back in action again.

Collingwood came incredibly close to making it to the big dance on April 17, but was pipped at the post by Brisbane, who defeated the Magpies by four points in the preliminary finals. If her beloved Pies were to make it to the granny this year, G Flip told us she had a particularly special plan brewing for her half time set, which included coordinating outfits with the rest of her band.

“I had BIG plans if the Pies were to make it,” she said.

“I wanted to get a custom-made black and white suit and have my band and the stage dressed in black and white too, but perhaps maybe another year.

“I might have to hit up the performer for the 2022 Grand Final if Collingwood was in and make a cameo appearance.”

Oh god, what might have been. At least she had Mad Monday and got to dress the whole Pies team in her own shirts, I guess. Collingwood, please make her the #1 ticketholder immediately, thank you.
