DOUG SAHM TEX MEX TRIP - Groover's Paradise LP 74

He produced Roky Erickson's first single when he got out of the mental hospital and made it big in Haight-Ashbury touring with the Sir Douglas Quintet and played with Augie Meyer and Freddie Fender in the Texas Tornados among many other bands.  https://gofile.io/d/8nUbUl

VA - OR-FM Double Garden 2LP

This one has some absolute gems that you really don't see anywhere else except old radio station comps like this one.  It was also an absolute backbreaker for me to take out all the extraneous noises (i.e. normal recorded music is a curve with blank underneath...after my cuts every few seconds it is solid blue) but they were the kind that don't really affect the sound at all (not like those damaged ones with skips or bumps).  I used all the tricks in the book to get great sound:  (1) old worn needle that sinks deeper into the groove to avoid the surface gunk on older records, (2) slightly lower record volume to eliminate noise layer, (3) and of course cutting out EVERY pop/click manually for pure sound.  Anyways, this is why not many posts this week, thought you should know.  Includes:  Association (I had forgot about the 'Cherish' opener song--what a classic!), Five Satins, Bob Lind, Angels, Crests, Keith, Mello Kings, Lovin' Spoonful, Ritchie Valens, Eddie Floyd, Shirelles, Del Shannon, Gene Chandler, Tommy Edwards, McCoys, Rays, Cascades, Dixie Cups, Critters, Dubs, Dion And Belmonte, Freddie Scott, Penguins (yes, you get another copy from last week of Greil Marcus' pivotal early soul tune he uses in his book), Happenings, Jimmy Charles, Ad Libs, Little Caesar And Romans (OLDIES BUT GOODIES, great tune!), Duprees (posted them not long ago) and Bobby Hebb.

STEVE SATTEN - Whatcha Gonna Do For Me LP 75

This one a request from EW that turns out to be semi-decent.  You decide my memory doesn't exist.

POE - UP THROUGH THE SPIRAL LP 71

Very interesting on the back cover are the lyrics and stories behind the lyrics that all deal with Edgar Cayce who I read quite a bit about back in 8th grade.  Nice psych.

Kommunity FK - Close One Sad Eye LP 85 w The Vision and the Voice CD 83

THE SUBURBS - st 7 EP w In Combo LP 80 w Credit In Heaven 2LP 81 w Dream Hog EP 82 w Love Is The Law LP 83 w st LP 86

REPOST Request:  Here is what I wrote before:  Rattle My Bones was played at every high school dance at my school growing up.  Also the album "Love Is The Law" was played at many a house party back then I remember.  I think this stuff has all been rereleased with bonus tracks--I know there is a greatest hits CD that really rocks but I couldn't find it for the post.  Bruce C. Allen died a few years back and is to New Wave what Pat Fear was to Hardcore I would say.  I didn't realize that Credit In Heaven has the Wallets sax and conga player sitting in as well as Chan's wife Terry from the awesome band "Fine Art" singing back up.  It was recorded at the historic Studio 80 in Minneapolis where the first digital audio recording took place.  Scratchy rips I did except the last LP a crappy tape so I encourage you to buy this while you can.  Also, they have newer material I am behind on.
