For the record Nova is a clouded leopard, not an African one. They weigh about 30 pounds and are not very aggressive or considered a serious danger to humans. Probably best known by this meme:

As we work on healing our femininity, inner child etc. it’s important discuss the fact that many of us are healing wounds from “tricky people”.

Talk to the children of your family about different kinds of “tricky” people.

Don’t shy away from scenarios either. Speak about “tricky” teachers so when they enter daycare/Pre-K they’re WELL aware of inappropriate behavior.

Speak about “tricky” boys who want to play games such as “doctor” or “house” for an excuse to be inappropriate.

Speak about “tricky” actions from BOTH Mommy and Daddy. Yes, speak to your child about what is NEVER appropriate for you to do to them.

Let’s not pretend ALL forms of child abuse haven’t happened at the hands of the child’s own parents.
