On their latest effort, Leeds/London collective Nubiyan Twist traverse jazz, R&B;, UK garage, and more "with lightness and dexterity," says Loud and Quiet, "weaving nine tales of personal memoir into one long call for unity." Here they connect with South London singer Ego Ella May (Stack №288).

Lael Neale - Every Star Shivers in the Dark

Posted by 4 sites • On Bandcamp • Also on: Spotify
By pairing back her process to a 4-track tape recorder, drum machine, and Omnichord, LA-based Virginia native Lael Neale arrived at the set of intimate songs that now make up her Sub Pop debut. "Acquainted With Night sounds like modern music from a sepia-tinted past and is utterly enthralling," says Joyzine.
GOOD READ

NPR Music asked a few experts to consider the legacy of Daft Punk:

"Paris and Daft Punk developed a unique relationship with Chicago, applying chic filters, rock distortion and high-gloss mastering to the city’s unctuously loopy disco house, squealing acid and raw stripped-back jack trax."

Thanks for listening!
