Dragons of Gold
Sol Twins, Thaumiel, Helios and Phoebus
(wow that’s a lot of names)
Due to the variability of features, each dragon is unique and it is impossible to find two identical ones. Usually.
The phenomenon of “twinness” is quite rare, and its causes are unknown. Some argue that this is just a coincidence, as a coin occasionally falls on an edge, and two dragons may be similar in appearance, others believe that they are ordinary twins, which are found in all other species, when one zygote gives two embryos, and still others say that it’s actually one dragon just with two bodies. But absolutely everyone finds this very disturbing, especially in the case of Gold. After all, Gold is a perfect metal, and perfection implies unity, not duality.
Usually I make a reference scry for proportion check and (mostly) as source for colours and patterns. Here I didn’t have one, just vague thoughts about phthalo (since I knew it should give lighter colour to the spikes), but I tried to create the scry based on the art.
I think it turned out surprisingly close, considering that the process of painting was like “хехехихеухехе colours))))”
Black dragon from HoMM 6
Caudaesus arsenici regius - Caudaesus of native arsenic
Every dragon of alchemy whose substantia viva contains arsenic is poisonous
But caudaesi of native arsenic are poison itself
Fortunately, this is a very rare subspecies and at the moment, the existence of only three living individuals has been confirmed.
