Who Are We?
Hashomer Hatzair, also known as ‘Hashy’ amongst the Melbourne Jewish community, is a worldwide Jewish youth movement for kids aged 7 to 18.
As a Socialist-Zionist, Secular Jewish movement, our aim is to provide each of our chanichim*ot with a strong sense of their own personal Jewish and Zionist identity, and to encourage chanichim*ot to think critically about the world around them.
What's On?
Rent Our Hall
The Hall at the Ken is available to rent and is perfect for functions and any types of classes! It is a wide and open space with a full length mirror running across one of the walls, as well as a dance bar on the other.

Peulot
Every Sunday peulot are held at Ken Anielewicz in St Kilda East.
The Junior movement is open to school years 3 - 7. Meetings are currently held from 3 - 5 PM.
The Senior movement is for school year levels 8 - 12. The meeting time is from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
Sunday activities are a great time to socialise and learn new things!
Donate
Hashy is a not-for-profit organisation, run entirely by volunteer efforts. Our events, activities, and peulot do require funds for necessities such as electricity and stationary, as well as general upkeep of the ken.
All donations also contribute to subsidising our camps, making them more accessible to everyone.
Hashomer Hatzair Australia Inc. is an affiliate of the AZYC which abides by accredited Safeguarding Children policies
