Don’t Miss The Party Girls Remix Contest! Many listeners are enchanted with the movie trailer monologue for the suburban soft-porn movie called The Party Girls. Now Ken is holding a Party Girls Remix Contest, encouraging audio pros and hobbyists to download the monologue and have their way with it! You can download the full, original Party Girls vocal track right here, then turn into into something beautiful, insane, ugly or all of the above, and send it back to Ken at ken at wfmu dot org. Deadline for submissions is February 15. Winning submission wins the original soundtrack recording of the film, also coincidentally titled, THE PARTY GIRLS! So get going, fleshpots of modern suburbia!

“Heartworn Highways” Now Available on Demand

WFMU on Demand has just added the excellent documentary Heartworn Highways, which is about the early ’70s music scene in Texas featuring Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Steve Young, Steve Earle, and many others. WFMU On Demand! Rent movies and help the station.

WFMU has started a virtual movie house! We are adding films to rent with 50% of the proceeds go to benefit the station, which always needs a little help. Just Added – Heartworn Highways.
