Trump's impeachment defense lawyer essentially warned that the people who threatened political violence, and then committed political violence, might commit more political violence if displeased about the trial's outcome. My new Insider op-column:

  5. Cuomo's top aide apologized to Democratic lawmakers — and no one else — for lying about NY's COVID nursing home disaster. He's coasted on the 'hero' myth for long enough. It's well past time for a fed investigation and to strip Cuomo of emergency powers.

  8. "If that means lying to get the funds you need to do it." That...isn't what happened. Cuomo lied to shirk responsibility for a deadly mistake. If he had just apologized instead of painting calls for transparency as a political smear job, we wouldn't be talking about this today.

  12. Cuomo was afraid of Trump using COVID nursing home deaths as a "political football." So Cuomo, lied, stonewalled, and baselessly accused anyone who asked for transparency of being a Republican hack. That's cowardly, thuggish, anything but "leadership."

  13. The Cuomo administration lied and stonewalled about COVID nursing home deaths, but at least they apologized to...*checks notes*...Democrats in a private phone call. All Cuomo had to do was publicly admit he made a mistake. He still won't do it.
