I’m a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in International Development at the University of York’s Department of Politics.
My research is centered on the role of finance in development, structural features of underdevelopment, the political economy of development (including the role of international institutions), and critically assessing the economics field.
I’m also Founder and Editor of the blog Developing Economics, Founder and Steering Group member of Diversifying and Decolonising Economics (D-Econ), Coordinator of the Association for Heterodox Economics, among other things.
On this website you can find some of my research, media clips, blog posts, and updates. You can also view my CV and contact information.
I have a Ph.D. in Economics from The New School and an M.Sc. in Development Studies from the London School of Economics.
You can also find my latest research and activities on the York Research Database (probably a bit more updated and detailed than this website).
Here is my CV (December 2020).
