To comply with the order, protect staff and residents, and devote resources to the City’s response to the COVID-19 crisis, the following temporary policies remain in place until further notice:

1. The City Attorney’s Office (along with City Hall) will be closed to the public.

2. The City Attorney’s Office is accepting electronic service of claims and lawsuits against the City at claims@oaklandcityattorney.org Email service to this address will be treated the same as personal delivery. This temporary policy does not apply to service of lawsuits against individually named City employees.
