The Rojava revolution became a revolution for humanity which attracted the attention of the world with the valiance of the resistance of YPG, YPJ and the people of Rojava. One of them was our comrade Agir Servan, of US origin.
Heval Agir Şervan (LEVI JONATHAN SHIRLEY) came to Rojava in February 2015 and joined the YPG. Hevale Agir took part in the Martyr Rubar Qamislo Operation, always in the most advanced front. After the liberation of the Kezwane Mountains he went back to his homeland. In January 2016, Heval Agir came back to Rojava to the YPG and rejoined the revolution in the defence of the Kobani and Cizire cantons. After that, he joined the Martyr Abu Leyla Operation for the liberation of Minbij.
Heval Agir was known for his discipline and sense of responsibility. His style and personality were a source of strength, motivation, and morale for his friends. In the fight, Heval Agir was known and respected as a brave and altruistic person. (more…)

Urgent call about the situation of civilians in the area of Minbij (Kurdistan, Syria)

An urgent call for the United Nations, the government of the United States and the public opinion.
A call for attention and support of the people’s council of Minbiç to the United Nations (27 June 2016).
The objective of this report of the people’s council of Minbiç is to describe the situation of the people in the area of Minbiç, located in the north of Syria which finds itself since 32 days in a heavy war situation and to describe which support is needed to eliminate the sufferings of the people. At the same time this report is a call for support to the United Nations.
The people who live in the areas controlled by ISIS since four years, experience a high intensity of violence. The difficulties the people face, because of the usurpation of the economic resources and the spaces of vital needs, continue. The applied embargo in Rojava affects the whole population in Rojava.
The people in the war region of Minbiç who have been forced to leave their houses and livelihoods are in the first instance in an urgent need of support of food and health-care and of all humanitarian aid. Until now this support has been provided by the people’s council of Minbiç, which has restricted means and the support doesn’t suffice. There are still thousands of people who haven’t been reached and whose needs are not known. There is a shortage of clean water in the region. Dirty water, rotten food, insufficient nutrition and bad housing conditions are the cause of illnesses and the fast expansion of illnesses. (more…)

We are women who have come together as the Women’s Freedom Assembly (KÖM)
in order to create a common language regarding all aspects of women’s
struggle for freedom, to intervene and collectively demonstrate presence in
all spheres of life, to be a party and take active role in the peace and
negotiation process in Turkey. At this moment,
The war in Turkey is intensifying; people, all living beings and history
is being destroyed!
As the State becomes more and more ISIS-like, the peoples’ resistance
resembles Kobanê!
In the Kurdish towns/provinces of Hakkari, Dargeçit, Sur, Nusaybin, Silopi
and Cizre, the State:
· Has removed all doctors’ leaves and permissions, calling all
medical equipment personnel to be prepared,
· Has emptied out student dormitories, placing security forces

War against ISIS/Daesh: Defense Units Disrupt Terrorists’ Preparations In Western Euphrates, Repel Attackers In Aleppo (Kurdistan, Syria)

KOBANE, Rojava (December 11, 2015) — At about 3 pm on December 10, combatants from the People’s Defense Units (YPG), joined by the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ), carried out an assault operation against a unit of hostile elements who were preparing to attack the village of Qereqozax in southwestern Kobane. In the process of the operation which targeted the enemy positions in western bank of the Euphrates River one of the group’s elements was confirmed killed.
Aleppo — On December 10 in place near the village of Pino, northern Aleppo, Al-Nusra terrorists attempted to launch an attack. After a swift intervention by the Defense Units, a short-time battle was experienced in the area. One terrorist fighter was killed in consequence.

KOBANE, Rojava (December 10, 2015) – In the evening of December 9, combined forces of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) and the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) initiated a military operation aimed at engaging terrorist groups who have been attacking western Kobane, particularly the village of Qereqozax, for several consecutive months. The assault operation which targeted numerous enemy positions in western bank of the Euphrates River enabled the Defense Units to eliminate at least one terrorist fighter and wounded two others.
The latest move is part of ongoing efforts by the People’s Defense Units coordinated to prevent terrorists from disrupting reconstruction and security conditions in rural district in Kobani where dozens of civilians were killed as result of mortar attacks all carried out from the west of the river.
Aleppo – In the dead hours of December 9, an operation was conducted by joint Defense Units against a group of Al-Nusra terrorists positioned in the village of Pino in northern portion of Aleppo. One terrorist element was confirmed killed there.

Après avoir libéré le Rojava de l’Etat Islamique, les habitants du Rojava et les nombreux révolutionnaires étrangers qui sont venus les soutenir inquiètent à présent les impérialistes américains et l’OTAN, ainsi que les régimes réactionnaires et fascistes du Moyen-Orient : la Turquie, l’Arabie Saoudite et l’Iran. International Call for Solidarity with the Revolution in Rojava (Kurdistan, Syria)

With this call out we invite individuals, organizations, collectives to participate in or support our fight for liberation, liberation not only of the Kurds for their land, but first and foremost liberation from the power of the state and capitalism and of patriarchy. We invite you to come to Rojava, Canton Cizire and Kobani.
Rojava (Western Kurdistan) is a piece of land largely freed from the presence of ISIS but under embargo: an embargo implemented against us not only from Turkey but also from Iraqi Kurdistan, whose regime does not appreciate the social changes taking place here. This embargo limits the availability of basic necessities, but also on the shortage of medicines and medical equipment needed to treat the injured. Here there are thousands of martyrs, of people killed by war: many have lost their family and home.
Our region lives since four years in an intensive atmosphere of war and great popular resistance. The attacks of authoritarian forces of modern capitalism backed up by regional reactionary forces which are deployed in the region, and are practically embodied in extremist religious organizations with its different names, which can be summed up in ISIS, is not only an armed attack which is supported by all technical modern means against the forces of resistance, such as women, youth and the forces of protection, but it is an intellectual and ideological attack that represents the peak of authoritarian and monopolistic patriarchal mentality which is anti-women, youth and the whole society. It is an international war, all hegemonic powers are directly or indirectly playing their part, all because they want influence in this region. (more…)

Our friends are to come together to protest against the Suruç Massacre, we are for embracing comrades and friends with love. To say like Che, “Solidarity is delicacy of peoples” is our command still. We are all together against the massacre policy at this time like all of the time.
AKP government was supporting first Al Nusra, but now AKP support ISIS and they attacked revolutionary young people together. The SGDF (Socialist Youth Association) members was on the way to build the city Kobane again. The fascist government of Turkey AKP and ISIS to turns towoards the young people.
Member of the Socialist Youth Association came to rebuild Kobane, young people have the freedom of the Kurdish people saw as their freedom. They target was chosen because they had been building a bridge of brotherhood
ISIS and co-operation with the AKP carried out this attack , nor the meeting with the world Rojava Revolution with the struggle of the Kurdish people will not prevent the meeting of the socialists.
AKP government’s expectations was defeated by the Kobane resistance.
When Til Abyad got liberated, lies came from AKP and Tayyip Erdoğan, “They are killing ethnic groups.” After then with saying “If Kurdish zones and cantons join together, we will enter Syria too.”, started to threaten Kurdish people. AKP, can not tolerate the equal and democratic Rojava, increasing their cooperation with ISIS, then started to make massacres. However, massacres or fascist terrorism are not able to block Kurdish people’s freedom bid.
AKP-ISIS connection will be ended by Kurdish people’s united challenge. We are inviting all workers to save socialist young people who are humanity’s honor and also waiting an answer against AKP-ISIS cooperation.
We will evolve the pain into anger, and the anger will be evolved into rebellion at streets!
Honor, the challenge of freedom and the martrys are immortal!

The following article is an interview with an environmentalist, vegetarian anarchist from Turkey who is a member of Sosyal Isyan (Social Insurrection) fighting as part of Birleşik Özgürlük Güçleri (United Freedom Forces) alongside the YPG / YPJ in Kobane, Rojava. Environmentalist, vegetarian, anarchist combatants who fight in Kobane.
We are sitting at the headquarters of United Freedom Forces (Birleşik Özgürlük Güçleri) in Kobane. I ask for a cigarette from a fighter aiming to meet and talk with him. While he offers one, I’m asking how many group form the United Freedom Forces. He says that, this force consist of salvationists (Kurtuluşçular), MLSPB, TDP and anarchists and indicates that he is an anarchist too.
What is the aim of fighting here for the anarchists?
I’m one of the founders of Social Insurrection and also their spokesperson. When the attack of ISIS started in Kobane, in the name of international solidarity, not considering it too much, we idealized to raise the defense as International Brigades much like in the Spanish Civil War.
United Freedom Forces was formed by different socialist factions from Turkey. Being an anarchist, how did you become involved with this structure?

JAZIRA, Rojava (July 1, 2015) – Through history, with any identity that it might be, humanity has assembled around definitions such as freedom, equality and peace – and it always has risen in defiance of tyranny, oppression and cruelty. Freedom-lovers throughout the entire world have continuously been involved in a struggle to leave a free and peaceful future for their children.
The Kurdish people has played a big role in this revered struggle of peoples, as they continue to conduct their significant part. For thousands of years the pressure and war of deadly powers has not been reduced, yet our relentless people have always stood strong in face of those dark forces and have held high the flag of struggle. In order to grant freedom and democracy, whatever price it has been required, these people have paid confidently. This struggle of Kurdish people can be taken into account as the hardest and longest struggle of human history. Today, a streamer of this respected battle is waved by proud combatants of the People’s Defense Units and the Women’s Defense Units in Rojava Kurdistan, Syria.
This valued fight of our forces today has echoed widely throughout the entire world, and has been of abundant hope and belief for freedom-loving young men and women. For that, willing individuals from all around the world step forward to come to Rojava and be a part of this shared struggle of peoples. This assembly and reaching each other, defines well that humanity still lives with the same principles and purity. How hard determined unrighteous ones try, warriors who march taking those principles as value, are more resolute to let not the enemy forces a single opportunity. (more…)

War against ISIS/Daesh: Turkish Army massing on the border readying for invasion in support of beleaguered Daesh terrorists after their defeated Kobane incursion (Turkey, Kurdistan, Syria)

As the Turkish Army is massing in the border area with Rojava/Syria, threatening to invade Syria to prevent the three cantons of Rojava from being united, Kurdish villagers in the border town of Roboski (Nothern Kurdistan/Turkey) clashed with the soldiers who have been sent to prepare for the invasion. The Turkish army has been firing at the people and their homes. The people made barricades in the streets and were met with armoured vehicles, live fire and tear gas.
