That, added to the viral clip of the Red Devils keeper berating his left back, made for grim reading for the English defender. But it was Shaw who emerged to face the scrutiny of the television cameras after the 6-1 hammering to Jose Mourinho's side.

Thomas Tuchel (main) has been confirmed as Frank Lampard's successor at Chelsea.  Lampard (right) was dramatically sacked on Monday after a dismal run of form has left them ninth in the Premier League table and 11 points off leaders Manchester United.  Sportsmail understands that owner Roman Abramovich (left), despite preferring to wait until the summer to make a change when more of his preferred replacements would have been more readily available, accelerated his initial interest in Tuchel immediately after the loss to Leicester and with the German available immediately after his sacking by PSG in December played a role in making the change mid-season.

INTER MILAN 2-1 AC MILAN: Inter Milan are through to the Coppa Italia semi-finals thanks to a stunning injury-time free-kick by Christian Eriksen.  Eriksen stepped up in the 96th minute to curl home into the top corner to complete a comeback victory for Inter against their bitter rivals AC Milan.  It was an ill-tempered affair that saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent off for AC - in what was the turning point of the match.

Salford, the club which Neville (right) part-owns with other members of Manchester United's 'Class of 92', announced the League Two clash had to be postponed due to a frozen pitch (main). With the announcement being made at 5:30pm, the visitors had already made the three-and-a-half trip to the Peninsula Stadium in preparation for the match and Neville was quizzed by fan whether he would compensate (top-left).

Leeds forward Rodrigo caused an angry reaction from Fabian Schar after getting in the face of the Newcastle player while he lay on the floor, leading to speculation he had spat at his opponent. Schar was on his back when Rodrigo leaned into his face during the second half.  The defender immediately jumped to his feet and confronted the Spaniard and both players were booked. A video of the incident soon circulated on social media in which it was speculated Rodrigo had spat at Schar, although the footage was inconclusive and no allegation has been made. Sources claim there was an exchange of words as opposed to spitting.

Amad Diallo has given Manchester United fans a glimpse of what they can expect when their new signing takes to the pitch for the first time. The midfielder is edging closer to making his first-team debut after completing a £37million transfer from Atalanta earlier this month and the 18-year-old has impressed in training. A clip posted by United's social media accounts shows the youngster producing a cool finish in part of a pass-and-move drill with the caption: 'Looking sharp.'

Tributes were paid to Dr Jozef Venglos on Tuesday night after the former Celtic boss died at the age of 84. The Slovakian managed the Parkhead club for a year during season 1998-99, carving his legacy with the signing of midfield maestro Lubo Moravcik. A renowned figure in European and world football, Venglos became the first manager born outside Britain or Ireland to coach in the English top tier when he took charge of Aston Villa during season 1990-91. Dr Jozef Venglos, who managed Celtic for one season in 1998-99, has died aged 84

BOURNEMOUTH 2-1 CRAWLEY TOWN: The Cherries opened the scoring when Arnaut Danjuma found Josh King, whose deft back-heel was cleverly steered in by former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere from outside the box. Just before the hour John Yems' side were level, striker Tom Nichols poking home from inside the box, but shortly afterwards Danjuma and King combined again to restore the hosts' lead. Jason Tindall's side survived late Crawley pressure to reach the FA Cup fifth round.

Ighalo (pictured) will initially return to Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua at the end of this month ahead of his next transfer - with a £7m-a-year offer from a club in Dubai plus interest from MLS clubs and the Premier League among his options. The 31-year-old scored five goals across 23 appearances in all competitions for United and provided a low-cost, low-risk option up front but was phased out following the signing of Edinson Cavani. The boyhood United fan said in a tweet: 'It's so hard to see this dream come to an end. 'But I give God the glory for helping me fulfil this lifelong dream of putting on a Manchester United shirt as a player and represent this great club, it was indeed an honour I will forever cherish and be grateful for.'

Novak Djokovic had issued a list of demands calling for the hard quarantine to be eased, but Nadal (left) said players should be grateful Australia had let them into the country at all. The funeral of Colin Bell took place on Tuesday, with former team-mates of the Manchester City and England legend in attendance. Bell died this month at the age of 74 following a long-term, non-Covid related illness.  Brian Kidd and Mike Summerbee were among those of his former colleagues at the service in Hale, Manchester, as well as his widow, Marie.

Barcelona have released a one-off shirt to be worn in El Clasico, which is on sale on their website for an eye-watering £80. The unique shirt, which merges the club's traditional home colours with the Catalan flag - the Senyera - is modeled by club legend Carles Puyol, and has been created for use in just a single match. It will be worn for Barca's trip to Real Madrid and the Bernabeu in April.
