ALVISE CAGNAZZO IN ITALY: Zlatan Ibrahimovic's bitter feud with Romelu Lukaku (inset, top) was about more than a stray elbow on the Inter striker on Tuesday night. This all goes back to one thing: who wears the crown in Milan? Back in February 2020, Inter fought back from 2-0 down to claim bragging rights in the derby with a 4-2 win. It was a statement victory for Inter but Lukaku had more to say. Lukaku sealed the win in the 93rd minute and later declared: 'There's a new king in town' (right). It was, without question, a dig at his former Manchester United team-mate. Tongue in cheek in one sense but a warning shot also; Lukaku believes he's a better player and that was never going to sit well with an alpha-male personality like Ibrahimovic (inset, bottom).

The former Italy international, who turns 43 on Thursday, apparently used the offensive phrase when reproaching midfielder Manolo Portanova during Juve's 4-0 win at Parma last month

Southampton vs Arsenal - Premier League: live score, lineups and updates

SOUTHAMPTON 1-3 ARSENAL - SAMI MOKBEL AT ST MARY'S: Mikel Arteta didn't stop barking, Granit Xhaka didn't stop passing, Bukayo Saka didn't stop running and Arsenal can't stop winning in the Premier League. The current silence at football grounds almost serves to amplify what's happening around you: the thud of every pass, the decibel of every touchline order. What's even clearer is that Arsenal are in the ascendancy. It's now five wins in six in the league for the Gunners after this impressive away victory over Southampton. Champions League qualification anyone?

The deal had been set for the end of the season, but will now be brought forward with a fee of around £20million, plus £5m in add ons, and is likely to be paid in instalments.

The England international has been a consistent performer during a troubling campaign for Mikel Arteta's side and is a key reason for their recent turnaround, getting on the scoresheet against Saints.

West Brom 0-5 Manchester City: Blues go top of the league with help of another 'offside'

WEST BROM 0-5 MAN CITY - JACK GAUGHAN AT THE HAWTHORNS: When they are like this, you can never be quite sure how many players are out actually there in Manchester City blue. It certainly does not feel like only the eleven named. Maybe someone sneaks on without anybody noticing. Just way too good, way too slick. Pep Guardiola appeared to have about three false nines on the pitch, West Brom a spinning top waiting to collapse.

The Gunners moved up to eighth in the Premier League table after a 3-1 victory at Southampton just three days after losing on the south coast in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

City are the ninth team to top the table this season but, after an 11th straight in win all competitions, Guardiola is keeping his cool as he acknowledges that there's still plenty of the season left to play.
