Pip Edwards came under attack on Tuesday after seemingly backflipping on her Australia Day message. In a post on Instagram Stories, the 40-year-old fashion designer shared a letter to a publication, which claimed Australia Day shouldn't be celebrated.   'If another country invaded Australia and took it over, massacred many of our families, took possession of our land, homes and properties, took away our culture, forbade us from speaking English and punished us if we did, took away our children in an effort to cleanse us of our ethnicity, herded us into enclaves and missions, rounded up our sons, fathers, uncles and grandfathers in balls and chains and treated us as "sub-human", would we and our descendants want to "celebrate" the anniversary of that day?' began the lengthy post. 

A man has been furiously stabbed during a gang fight at a busy Sydney train station. The teenager, 18, suffered several stab wounds to his thigh and shoulder and was taken to hospital in a serious condition. Another man suffered facial injuries during the brawl and was also taken to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment. The incident is said to be gang-related. Police made 15 arrests, who are all believed to be under the age of 18.

Song Yoo-jung died on Saturday and a small funeral was held in accordance with her family's wishes, her agency confirmed on Monday (pictured: the actress's final post on Instagram, left; and posing for a shoot in 2014, right). Australians were divided across the country on January 26 with some heading off to the beach to make the most of the public holiday and others turning out in droves for 'Invasion Day' demonstrations. A long-running campaign to abolish Australia Day or change the date has a growing number of Aussies feeling uneasy about national day celebration. Indigenous activists, along with many others Australians, regard the day British settlers first landed in Port Jackson on the First Fleet in 1788 as an event to be mourned, not celebrated. But while thousands of Australians still carried on the traditional Australia Day cheer with sun-soaked barbecues and a trip to the beach, it appears evident the nation's appetite for a rowdy celebration has greatly diminished.

The 'Invasion Day' protest nearly finished incident-free until a scuffle kicked off between a group of Australia Day protesters and a man wearing a 'Proud Boys' t-shirt (pictured, left). Protesters could be heard shouting the 'Australian flag was racist' as they grappled with the man before police swarmed in and dragged him away outside Flinders Street Station at around 1pm (bottom right).

An 'sociopathic' goat has injured a bush walker in the lower Blue Mountains NSW so seriously that the man was rushed to hospital as the gloating goat looked on, munching grass, on Tuesday morning. The incident was 'one of the more bizarre' animal jobs paramedics have attended, NSW Ambulance Inspector David Patterson said.

Comedian Luke Erwin, 26, captured disturbing footage of the bloody fight in Coomera, on the Gold Coast, on Monday afternoon and shared it on Instagram. The confronting situation unfolded when the three men abandoned their cars at a set of traffic light and started throwing punches in the middle of the wet road. While Erwin and two friends could be heard laughing from inside their vehicle at the beginning of the video, the tone took a turn when they realised someone's life was in danger.

A 32-year-old assistant accountant has revealed how she built her dream tiny home with her 'handy' carpenter father, and now the pair rent out the incredible space so that guests can experience living off-grid (the tiny house pictured). Tiffany Falzon, from South Australia, had worked and lived in Sydney for almost a decade when she had an idea to move home to her hometown just outside Marion Bay in South Australia. The 32-year-old decided she would get her dad to help her build a coastal tiny house that could accommodate guests and was completely off-grid. The result is Bayside Glamping, a 2.5 metre by eight metre home that comes complete with an outdoor deck, external relaxation hut and panoramic views.

A body modification enthusiast has confessed that he now struggles to speak after having his nose and top lip removed in his latest shocking transformation. Anthony Loffredo, 32, has already covered his body - including his eyeballs - in tattoos and had his tongue split in his bid to look like a 'black alien,' The Mirror reported. The Frenchman, who documents his dramatic physical alterations for his 227,000 followers on Instagram, said he had had his nose removed in Spain as the procedure is illegal in France. Other than piercing and tattooing, body modifications that result in injury are illegal in many European countries. As such, Loffredo (pictured as inset before he began body modification) did not specify exactly where, when or by whom his nose and upper lip were removed, when speaking about the procedures in an Instagram live question and answer session. In a previous Instagram post discussing his nose removal, Loffredo thanked an account called @oscarmarquezbodymod for having 'marked' his life, writing: 'Now I can walk with my head high thanks to you I am proud of what we did together.' Loffredo did admit in the recent Instagram Q&A; to struggling to speak since the removal of his top lip but this does not seem to have dampened his enthusiasm for body modification. He said he dreamed of removing his skin entirely and replacing it with metal and listed his arms, legs and fingers, along with the back of his head, as the next parts of his body he wants to have modified.

Billionaire Steve Wynn is putting his Beverly Hills mega-mansion up for sale with a price tag of a whopping $110 million. Wynn, the former CEO of Wynn Resorts, purchased the mansion from Guess jeans co-founder Maurice Marciano for $47.85 million in 2015, meaning the value of the property has appreciated by more than $62 million, should someone meet Wynn's asking price. According to the Los Angeles Times, the $110 million price tag is the fourth-highest in Los Angeles County for properties currently on the market.

Lois Spencer-Tracey, 38, from Brentwood, and her husband of nine years, Gary, 37, bought their first home in December 2015 for £250,000. And, one year later, they began renovating the property, starting with the garden before moving on to the two bedrooms, bathroom and finishing with the kitchen. They replaced the ceilings, windows, both the front and back door, radiators and electrics, as well as re-plastered and fitted new floorboards as the previous ones were in a dire state. In a video widely circulated online, the female reporter can be heard screaming for help while the uniformed men approached her and tried to block her camera outside a hospital in Qixia city, eastern Shandong province. The footage also appears to show her being shoved to the ground by the security staff. The journalist was being prevented by the officials from entering the facility to interview the survivors of a recent gold mine blast that had drawn international attention.

Rotterdam, Amsterdam and The Hague were among cities hit by a third night of rioting in the Netherlands on Monday, amid anger at the country's new night-time Covid curfew. Rioters set fires, looted shops, and pelted police with rocks and fireworks - prompting officers to respond with water cannon, while one also fired a warning shot from his service weapon after getting cornered in Rotterdam. Officers said 151 people were arrested overnight and promised more unrest to come, as furious mayors condemned the lawlessness. The Netherlands had favoured light-touch lockdown measures earlier in the pandemic, but reversed course to impose strict restrictions in October as cases soared.

Viewers of Channel 4's Shut Ins: Britain's Fattest People slammed Sharon, from Airdrie, last night as they accused her of trying to sabotage her 41st non-binary 24-year-old's weight loss (left, Sharon, and right AJ). During the programme, Sharon confessed she was struggling with AJ's strict diet and said she wanted to 'feed them up' after they had bariatric surgery to remove part of their stomach (inset, AJ before surgery). Many of those watching criticised her attitude online, with one writing: 'It's AJ's mum who needs the help!'

Adorable footage shows the moment a concerned cat warns a one-year-old boy not to climb the sky-high balcony of their home in Bucaramanga, Columbia, by placing his paws on the boy's hands. In the video, filmed on January 20, the child can be seen repeatedly attempting to grab hold of the railings which are above his head as the pet flashes a worried look at the owner before jumping into action.

Ross Hyett, 67, successfully led a treasure-hunting mission to recover 2,364 bars of silver from the wreck of the SS Tilawa, a Tyneside-built 10,000-ton steamer torpedoed by a Japanese submarine off the coast of the Maldives in November 1942.Mr Hyett, from Derby, a former British racing champion and director of the British Racing Drivers' Club, spent over two years planning and carrying out the salvage operation. After salvaging the hoard, he brought it to Southampton in 2017 and declared it to the Receiver of Wreck, which oversees salvage law.But the South African government, the owner of the long-lost silver bars, is now fighting Mr Hyett's company over the hoard in court and last week won a victory which could see him end up with nothing.

The RSCPA said it had received reports of the incident, believed to be recorded in Hull, and was investigating. A spokeswoman for the charity said: 'We are aware of this extremely concerning video and are looking into it. If anyone has any information about this please contact our cruelty line on 0300 1234 999.'
