NOTE: DUE TO CORONAVIRUS, WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED.

Due to health risks from Coronavirus and governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, we are currently entirely closed to the public. Although we will re-open eventually, we do not have any real idea of how long the order will remain in place.
Although we are not the sort of organization that can easily decentralize our work, we are considering what people could be able to do to help while in quarantine, and may update this page soon with some suggestions!

As a non-profit 501(c)(3) with only one part-time paid staff member, the majority of our work is done through volunteer labor. As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to read book requests from incarcerated individuals and comb through our library of books to find the perfect fit.

We welcome individuals, students, court-ordered community service volunteers, and small groups. (We are eligible for hours-matching with employers!) Volunteers with previous experience in a library setting or who are avid readers are best prepared to help choose books from our library, but we welcome all who love to learn and are passionate about human rights!

Where are you located? When can I volunteer?
