Video: Kosovo score their first official international goal against Finland

The 2018 World Cup qualifiers are underway, and new boys Kosovo have kicked off their campaign with a draw against Finland.

Kosovo was only accepted into FIFA back in May this year, and had to wait until hours before kick off for some of their players to get clearance to take the field.

A first half goal from Paulus Arajuuri gave Finland the lead in their Group I fixture last night, but a penalty from Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Valon Berisha earned Kosovo a point.

Kosovo’s next fixture is at home to Croatia on October 6, an occasion that is sure to be an emotional one for all involved.
