Having read many Amazon reviews and look at over 6 different makes and models, this is the one I went for. As you can see from the photos, it's a perfect fit for the larger side of our 1.5 sink (different sizes). While I liked the look of the classic stainless steel and black silicone edges, I couldn't find any of those that would fit. The internal dimensions of the sink you see here is 19", so anything less than that in H would not work for us. This is 20.5 making it more sturdy and usable. I cannot emphasize enough to measure your sink(s) BEFORE you purchase even if the manufacturer doesn't tell you to! You will save a lot of headaches that way.... Very pleased with this item, color choices minimal but not a major factor. Size and functionality are the most important factors in play - at least for us. Hope the review and photos help your decision-making - it did ours. Update: 11/29/2016 - we still love ours and it's great, but..........just noticed the price has shot up to nearly $40 or more depending which vendor you are using! We purchased it a few weeks ago for $21.98. So, that is an almost 100% increase.....something is going on here!?
Used the rack for less than a week and part of the plastic split apart and revealed a rusty metal bar. The concept of a rack that rolls up and sits on top of the sink is great, but it's not made to withstand long term use apparently.
This is a sturdy drying rack that rolls up nicely when not in use. I gave it four stars even though we ended up needing another rack, because it functions exactly as I thought it would. We use ours quite a bit. However, if you cook a lot and have lots of heavy pots and pans, then I don't think this will be big enough. If you have wine glasses or bottles, they might not stay upright, since there is a little flex in the mat. If you have plates to wash, this isn't going to work well, either. It is nice that it doesn't take up counter space, but it does block access to the sink. I ended up buying a bamboo rack also, but we use both racks quite often. If you want this for an extra drying rack that can be easily put away, then this will be perfect.

I love love love this dish rack. It's replaced my large strainer. I minimized my dishes so each member of my family has 1 of each thing. That way less dishes for me. Yipee.
I love the Surpahs roll up dish drying rack! I installed a huge, 9" deep, one-basin sink and putting my dish drain in the sink didn't work. I needed something to lift it off the bottom of the sink so the dishes I just washed didn't keep getting wet in my dish drain as I used the rest of the sink. You can see by my attached photos that the Surpahs drying rack works perfectly to support my dish drain which allows the dishes to dry and yet I can still squirt water underneath it when I need to. Works so well, I pat myself on my back for finding this clever solution!
It's a great concept, however you cannot put cups and glasses like in the photo, the metal or plastic is to flexible so they sometimes fall off. It looks great, but you might loose a few dishes and cups on the way.
I have a small double-kitchen sink. We rent so no options there.
I purchased this to work with some of the larger pots, woks and kitchen items I have. Like one of the reviewers, I did notice some flex in the rods when I pushed on it with my hands... However, when I loaded it with a large pot, a heavy glass lid and other items, there wasn't a noticeable bend so all good there.
I did use it as a trivet for a hot pan/pot and it did well (ie., no marks or burns).
PROS: -Easy to roll out and fits on my small double-sink -Easy to roll up or fold up and store into a corner -Feels nice to the touch -Looks nice with a light grey color
CONS: -Does flex so may not work with very heavy objects but shouldn't be an issue with your average kitchen items -Sits on top of the sink, which is a slight CON for me since I have to move my dish soap dispenser which is also on the sink
*I've only used this for a week (as of this review).
I would recommend this for anyone that needs a bit more room in/around their kitchen sink. I'm always looking for practical solutions for optimizing my kitchen space and this fits the bill.
I live in a small space and I cook a lot. I store this under my normal drying rack. It works great when I have an extra set of dishes. I don't think this should be advertised as a replacement. It is too small for anyone who cooks a decent amount. For a normal drying rack you stack dishes so there is actually more space that it looks. But for this, everything is flat so you end up taking more space than you think.
That said, if you get your expectations in place, still a great product I think.
5.0 out of 5 starsthere are less expensive versions of this dish rack out there but I am very happy I chose this one

OK, so i’ll admit I don’t leave feedback all the time but I am for this product. First of all, there are less expensive versions of this dish rack out there but I am very happy I chose this one. It’s fantactic! It’s wide enough to fit across my sink with room to spare. It’s one of the larger versions advertised. I also like the fact that it’s completely covered in silicone and not stainless steel. It’s “grippy” so the dishes don’t slide around. It’s very versatile also. It can be used as a trivet for hot dishes, cookie/cooling rack, or a drain tray for veggies. It’s a neutral color so it will look tasteful in any kitchen. It cleans up easily and I love the fact it’s easy to roll up to store if you don’t want it on your counter all the time. I live in the boonies and I had speedy delivery. I’m also very happy to support a Canadian business. You will be happy with this purchase don’t hesitate to buy it.
We purchased this to use as a drying rack over our large sink. The silicon makes it none slip. They have been very durable, no signs of use and easy to clean. If you don't want it out, just roll it up and store away, it barely takes up an space. You will not be disappointed with the quality of this product!
I've had this drying rack for a couple of weeks now, I'd say, and I love it even more than I thought I would.
The quality is fantastic; the rack feels very well constructed and the rubber coating/trimming (if that's what it is, I can't recall) feels very sturdy. I haven't experienced any of the rods loosing their shape when I spread them to wipe them down. The rods have quite a bit of give and bounce right back into shape once you let them go – I held it up horizontally by one of the end rods for a few seconds while I had to clean it.
In my kitchen lighting I don't see any water spots on the rack after I've let my dishes drip-dry. You will, however, notice any food or other particles that have made their way onto the rack – it shows things in every colour, it doesn't hide any dirt. Although it is good in a sense that you can quickly spot clean if you don't have time or don't feel like wiping down the whole thing.
I have a single sink that I think is fairly wide and this rack reaches across it beautifully. When I need the sink and can't leave this on top, I simply place a kitchen/hand towel on the countertop and place the rack on top. It works like a charm, and things don't have far to fall when a 'majestic beast' decides to knock them over (lol).
The rack holds a fair, if not impressive, amount of various kitchenware. Our drinking glasses and coffee/tea mugs are average sized, I'd say, and it holds about 6 drinking classes (almost the size of beer glasses in circumference, if not the size), three average sized coffee/tea mugs (the monogrammed mugs from Chapters/Indigo with the coloured inside), as well as two or three of the medium-size, flatter Rubbermaid Containers, and it holds the lids as well. That's about as full as I've made it so far. There was still more room to fit cutlery if needed, probably a good amount too.
I would definitely recommend it. I thought it was expensive too, but now that I have it I understand why it's that price. It's worth every penny, in my opinion.
I have so little counter space that I can't believe it didn't occur to me to try one of these over the sink drying racks. It is so versatile that I rarely even use it for drying dishes. I put it across my farmhouse sink to extend the amount of counter space I have when cooking. If I need the sink/water in the meantime, no problem, I either roll it up a bit or let the water run thru it. I have had 10-15 pounds of drying dishes on it without issue and while cooking its never slipped or buckled. It got pancake batter all over it and I was able to rinse and wipe it with a soapy cloth just fine. I'm getting my mom one. This item is superb!
The uses for this product are endless -washing fruits and vegetables, letting washed dishes dry over the sink. I specifically wanted it to put the strainer on when emptying out pots of pasta or potatoes. The colander/strainer can sit safely on top allowing the hot water to run through to the sink. You can have the cold water running at the same time to prevent the boiling water from damaging the pipe joints.
