Rochelle Jordan - Got Em

Back in Stack №3, we highlighted Toronto's Rochelle Jordan, who has since worked with Jacques Greene among others. For her first single on TOKiMONSTA's Young Art Records, she relinks with producers KLSH and Machinedrum, leaning "harder into dance territory with a house-styled track that knocks," says SoulBounce.

Among the most-posted artists on the site this week, Danish indie rock band Yung soon release their sophomore album via PNKSLM Recordings. They say this one is about alienation, with Hard Of Hearing Music adding, "the instrumental repetition and momentum seem to embody grief itself."

Yazmin Lacey & Congi - Follow Me

Released in the last days of 2020, the new experimental R&B; EP from Yazmin Lacey and Conji "plays like a year-end reflection of sorts," says Bandcamp. The duo "captures winter malaise" on the chime-backed standout "Follow Me."

MC Yallah & Eomac - Mama Waliwamanyii

Kenya-born, Uganda-based vocalist MC Yallah and Irish producer Eomac teamed up last summer for a 12" on Phantom Limb. Mixmag says the urgent material falls "somewhere between raw Detroit electro and the coldest instrumental grime."

Black Country, New Road - Track X

Accompanied by a home movie-style music video (now charting), the new single from this rising Ninja Tune-signed English group finds them paring back their jazz-infused punk sound for sparse introspection. The Fader calls it a "nostalgic, slightly tense odyssey through love, pain, and Black Midi shows."
