Gendersaros: a fluid gender identity where one’s gender is always androgynous in some way.

Also called fluandrogyne.

Etymology

The term appears to have been coined by LGBTA Wikia user slicedmelon in 2020. The etymology of the term is described by the coiner like so:

The word gendersaros comes from the word saros, meaning a period of time used to predict an eclipse. An eclipse is a mix of masculine and feminine energies, thus gendersaros being an androgynous genderfluid.

“Saros” is from Ancient Greek. More about the concept can be found here.

Flag

The flag was created anonymously in 2020. It is a combination of the genderfae, genderfaun and androgyne pride flags. The creator decided to assign no meaning to it, instead wanting the community to assignment meaning based upon their experiences.

Afluaflugender: a multigender identity consisting of a “base” gender, a fluid, “switching” component and a “spiking”, fluctuating component; an experience where one has a primary gender, a fluid component featuring genders typically experienced by the individual and an infrequent flux component involving identity uncommon to the rest of the identity.

Also called Alfu.

Etymology

The etymology of the term is unknown. However, “Aflu” may refer to the Aromanian verb meaning “I discover”, “I learn“ and “I meet”. This term appears to have been coined by LGBTA Wikia user shinsouboi in 2020

Flag

The Afluaflugender flag seems to have been created by LGBTA Wikia user rosewatera in 2020. The flag is based off of the description given in the “flag” section of the Wikia entry. The original image was poor quality, so I made a high quality version using the same colors and pattern. The coiner states that the flags has the following meanings:

  • The pink and off-pink stripes represents female genders and/or genders that are feminine in nature.
  • The purple and off-purple stripes represent genders that are both a mix of male and female, or contain qualities of both
  • The blue and teal stripes represents male genders and/or genders that are masculine in nature.
  • The green stripes represents genders that lack associations with other concepts of gender and/or terms that have an absence of gender.
  • The orange and yellow stripes represent genders that are outside of the gender binary

Since the official flag has ten stripes, I would like to include a simplified version that I created myself, which is below the cut. The color meanings and positions are the same.

Gendermodfluid, or gender modifier fluid, is when the gender modifiers you use change. For example, someone who is cassgender one moment, apothibinary the next, and the next day is using xenogenders as gender modifiers.

Kymfluid / Divifluid

Kymfluid (can also be called divifluid) is a a term that describes someone with multiple genders, some fluid, and some not. Mainly, it can be used for people who identify with both fluid gender labels and non-fluid gender labels separately from each other. For instance, one may be both kenofluid and proxvir, with kenofluid being a fluid gender, and proxvir being completely static.

Kymfluid comes from the terms (gender)fluid, and kymenian (a term for gender(s) that are not static. the opposite of genderfluid)

Was made with genderhoarders in mind, but it can be used by anyone!

Poxogender Flag

lgbtqiarchive

image

Definition: an unifying term for non-binary people whose gender-ness is at least:

  • changing in intensity &/or identity (flux/fluid);
  • multiple/plural (multigender/plurigender);
  • divided/separated in parts (demigender);
  • mixed/combined (genderpotion/shuffler);
  • (in)between genders (centrigender);
  • reference gender binary (midbinary);
  • lia-/fia-/mia-gender (wif-/wer-gender);
  • other adjacent/aligned/similar experiences.

Po- is a play on apo-/apora- (which means separation), without a- it’s not essentially like that, while -oxo from roxo, meaning purple (do not confuse with proxogender and purplegender). The concept comes from the non-binary flag purple meaning:

Purple represents the fluidity and multiplicity of many gender experiences, the uniqueness and flexibility of nonbinary people, as well as representing those whose gender experiences include being of or between female and male.

Genderfluidity is synonymous to genderflexibility and genderflux to flexgender, but for in case of uniqueness, I imagine that some people that have their gender split/merged/partly (dis)identified while still monogender (being only one/singular gender), almost like gendervast.

“…being of or…female and male” gives some ambiguity if it’s both (femache) &/or one of them. And since it’s not mentioned ideogenders/bingenders (lin-/fin-/min-gender), I’m not putting them there inherently. Gender partialities/partial genders are included as demigenders.
