Binarynot: not being binary, without necessarily being nonbinary.
Mixing anonbinary with abinary flag, purple and black colors from non-binary one. Also a term to refer your gender identity isn’t binary, but something else or another thing.
Name: Aitherio/Aitherogender Origin: Sourced from the Greek word αιθέριος (aithérios), translating into English as ethereal. Proposed Flag:
[Image: Flag with 5 stripes: Dark purple/blue, muted purple/blue, dark teal, light teal, very light teal]
Definition: An ethereal, otherworldly gender that did not originate from this world, making it nearly impossible to define using words from within your own culture. Can be shorted to “aitherio” or “aith” in sentences for convenience. Examples:
“The young aith looked up at her in surprise, stiffening slightly as they met her eyes.”
“He was an aitherio, long hair neatly done up in a long braid that had beads and bells woven tightly into the strands.”
“People who identify as aitherogender exist outside of the human concepts of gender, their genders originating from beyond this world.”
Intended for: Kin or neurodivergent usage (especially those who feel a disconnect from reality), able to be used by anyone.
Notes: This is similar to stargender, but I felt that only the first definition (that of it being a gender originating from somewhere besides Earth) really fit me, so I put this together to try and find a more accurate and precise term for it???

A nymboy is an abinary boy, a person who identifies as a boy in a way removed entirely from the gender binary system. It is a type of boyhood that is abinary in nature, and therefore lacks ties to the gender-binary, including a relationship to binary boyhood, manhood, maleness, cisness, male-alignment, binary masculinity, and most other widespread connotations of boyhood. Nymboys may even see their boyhood as anonbinary or something else entirely. It is a boyhood that is not gendervir or any gendervir gender. While the concept may seem contradictory, it simply refers to those who repurpose the word boy in an abinary way.
The term is a combination of the words homonym and boy. A homonym is defined as “one of two words that are spelled the same and sound the same, but that have distinct meanings.” In this case, a nymboy describing their gender identity as “boy” is utilizing a homonym, because their gender which they call “boy” is a separate gender from the binary gender “boy,” despite the fact that the two genders have the same name. The word homonym itself means “same name.” Hence nymboy: (homo)nym + boy.
Another word for it could be abinboy, meaning abinary boy. Associated pronouns could be nae/nym/nyr or ne/nym/nys if nymboys choose to adopt them. A good summary and visual representation of abinarity and gender systems can be found here (link) and a more comprehensive look at gender systems can be found here (link).
Coined by me (xenoleaf) on August 31st, 2020. Flag made by me and is free to use when attributed to the term, no credits necessary. I used a template by @neopronouns for the base of the flag and adjusted it slightly. Also, I’m a new blog so reblogs are appreciated if you liked the term. ^-^
[image description: a flag that contains 6 concentric triangles facing inward from the left and right, 3 on each side. the triangles are baby blue, sage green, and pale yellow going from outermost triangle to innermost triangle. in the center is a circle which overlaps with the tips of the 6 triangles. where the tips of the triangles overlap with the circle, the triangles change color to match the circle in different shades of indigo. the tip of the baby blue triangles becomes light blue, the tips of the green triangles become medium blue, and the tips of the yellow triangles becomes indigo. due to the negative space created by the triangle tips, in the center of the circle there is an indigo hourglass shape. the negative space of the triangles creates a larger sky blue hourglass shape in the center of the flag, behind the circle]
