Apeirongender: a gender that is both agender and pangender simultaneously; experiencing all accessible genders in one’s culture and experience while being genderless at the same time. May or may not be apathetic towards their gender identity.
Etymology
Apeirongender appears to
have been coined by LGBTA Wikia user atwistedpotato, 2020. The etymology is given by the coiner as so:
Apeiron (pronounced appear-on) is a Greek word meaning “(that which is) unlimited,” “boundless”, “infinite”, or “indefinite” from ἀ- a-, “without” and πεῖραρ peirar, “end, limit”, “boundary”, the Ionic Greek form of πέρας peras, “end, limit, boundary”.
Flag
The flag was uploaded at the same time as the page was created by the presumed coiner. The image from the Wikia is pretty low quality, so I replicated it in a higher quality for this post. The coiner states that the flag has the following meanings:
- The light green stripes represents genderlessness/agenderness
- The pale yellow stripe represents the connection to being non-binary, and/or gender non-conforming.
- The blue represents a connection to masculinity.
- The purple represents feelings of gender apathy.
- The soft pink stripe represents a connection to femininity.
