i can’t believe we are gonna lose her
Actually we have overthrown D&D’s power and usurped their rights over our Queen’s narrative. Dany belongs to the people now and thus can never be killed. Idc what perverse fanart D&D put on television tomorrow, our Queen is already off living her best life in Essos with Drogon, Jon, the Unsullied and the Dothraki, all of whom that cesspool called Westeros is not worthy of.
We’ll treat you right, my Queen. ❤️
Are we going to take bets over which actor will snap and go off first?
Cast members I’ve seen already showing early signs of cracking, so far:
- Pilou
- Kit
- Jacob
- Lena (bts)
- Nik
- Peter
- Emilia
- Conleth
- Joe
Emilia is their go-to hype woman, and is frighteningly good about keeping up a front. So, while I feel like she has a shit ton of feelings on this season, I think it’ll be a while before we really hear her true side of things. And when we do, unless alcohol is involved, she’ll be extremely diplomatic in her phrasing. With alcohol, we could definitely get another “Best season ever” like interview (because lbr, that girl was drunk in that Emmys interview).
Nathalie and Jacob have expressed their dissenting opinions on a plot-by-plot basis. Meaning they haven’t outright said “This shit is awful”. But, they’ve Nathalie has hinted at not being a fan of killing off the only WOC left and wishing that Missandei had more heartfelt scenes with Dany or witty scenes with Cersei. Nathalie will talk more in the context of the subject of race. Jacob has said that he doesn’t agree that Dany is “mad”. He’s also shown his feelings in his facial expressions (and saying that it “sucks” that people are disappointed in the season). Not to mention and interview woth Joe that I’ll talk about in a minute. I don’t think they’ll say anything any time too soon. But, we’ll definitely hear from them.
Peter’s “hostage video” and some bts comments tell us a lot. But, I think that he’ll stay relatively quiet or at least only passive aggressive for a while.
Lena and Nik. Lena’s dissent has been behind the scenes as we learned from Pilou. I could see her up and not giving a single fudge one day and snapping somewhere like at a fan convention panel. She won’t snap privately. She’ll go off in front of fans. Nik will slowly become more annoyed in his interviews before he too says “F-ck it. I didn’t agree with this that this that over there that sucked too.”
Kit. We now understand his reluctance to play along during the promo tour. I, for one, do owe him a little bit of an apology for dragging him. He knows things. He has strong opinions. You see that. But, rather than go batshit insane, I think he’s more likely to just say “I had a great experience there. Bye.” And disappearing into the night.
Conleth got his check. He don’t give a one f-ck anymore. He’s as likely to drag the show as he is to shrug his shoulders and never mention it again.
Now, Pilou and Joe. Pilou has already gone in a shade tour and his character only died last Sunday. I think the more Euron and his characterization get dragged by fans and the media, the more we’ll see Pilou distance himself from that characterization by shading. And then there’s Joe, who has a history of questioning what tf Gendry is even doing. He’s suggested in that interview with Jacob that season 7 was just more like an Avengers assembling rather about character development. Then immediately, he and Jacob did a telling “Uh-oh, now you’re gonna get it” joke. He’s got some thoughts that he’ll drop after he’s out from under the thumb of HBO snipers.
My money is on Pilou cracking first, then Joe. They have the among least to lose and little owed to the HBO/D&D overlords. Lena and Nik following. Jacob respectfully disagreeing and or Peter and Kit quietly seething. Conleth unbothered, swimming in his money. Nathalie spending the next few projects of hers giving more subtle digs at GoT’s approach to women and race. And Emilia, after years of smiling through pent up anger and diplomacy, being the last to snap.

Accurate.
I feel for every daenerys stans this season, because I remember the actual pain and disgust and anger I felt over season 5 when the show decided to have Sansa placed in Jeyne Pooles plot for no sensible reason. They de-railed my favourite characters story, after promising she would flourish this season, she was going to be a badass, we were going to love this season, just to have her raped and abused and locked in a room until she was rescued. I felt physically ill when those credits were rolling, after hearing her dress rip and her sobbing, GOT airs at 8am in the morning in Australia and I cried intermittently that whole day and when my mum came home at 5pm that evening her face dropped and immediately asked ‘whats happened?’ I was so obviously upset (Literally the simpsons marge and lisa ‘is a book character having difficulties’ moment) like I KNOW it’s not real, but it hurt and in a way it hurt more because I knew it was not fair! Thats NOT what should have happened, it was a story that played out because DnD didn’t care! They wanted someone shoved in Jeyne Pools role, they thought Sansa’s book story was boring, and thats how it played out. The plot did nothing but support Theons arc, and have Sansa be ‘grateful’ because her imprisonment and rape is what made her strong apparently. Disgusting.
so if the leaks play out as they most likely will, I feel for you Daenerys stans, I’ve been there and it hurts.
And I’m baffled by any gloating Sansa/Jonsa stans right now who are joyfully watching daenerys’s ‘downfall’ because they think it validates them or their ship and makes Sansa come out a winner….when Sansa was one of the first characters dismissed, hollowed out and destroyed by this show 3 seasons back.
In one of the interviews for season 5 D&D actually stated that they did that because it was a ‘strong’ scene and had a dramatic impact, and that Sophie Turner could play that out brilliantly… they didn’t give a single fck about Jeyne Poole.
This also infuriated me in season 7 where they clearly didn’t change anything else for Sansa despite making her Jeyne Pool. Because why would show Sansa ever trust a word Littlefinger tells her again? Why wouldn’t she just hate him? Book Sansa has a complicated relationship with the man, but it makes sense in the books where he’s both the man who saved and protected her as well as her creepy uncle.
I was never a huge Sansa fan, but I liked her. Behind Jon and Ned, she is probably my favorite Stark. But she’s being written terribly too. Her last three seasons have been petty fights for no reason. Season 6 petty fights with Jon. Season 7 petty fights with Arya. Season 8 petty fights with Daenerys. She’ll get rewarded in the end with the North for all of this, but not because she did some masterminding or saw something no one else did, which is what the writers will say. Nope, it will just be the plot giving her stuff because mad queen.
Just the fact that they’ve written everyone out of character is astonishing. Daenerys deserved so much better, but so did Sansa. I would love a smart, scheming Sansa who is one of the major players in the game and just running the board. I would have loved a Sansa smart enough to send Arya to kill Cersei rather than risk her troops. I would have loved a Sansa smart enough to act more Margaery than Cersei when Daenerys arrived. I would have loved Sansa’s response to Sandor be “even little birds have deadly talons” or something a bit more affirming. I just feel bad for all Game of Thrones fans right now. We all deserved better, and I’m sorry I defended this shit for too long. I should have started getting angry in Season 5 when the rot kicked in, but I was just happy enough until now.
Best way to look at Jon killing Daenerys as a Jonerys shipper
I’ve been a huge Jonerys shipper I think the best way to look at is comparing it with x-men. Wolverine was forced to kill Jean so she won’t cause so much destruction but he never stopped loving her. So it will probably be the same way with Jon. I personally asked the leaker how the scene with Jon killing Daenerys will play out and this was his reply to me
“ On Jon killing Dany, the tone of it is very tragic. It’s kind of like she’s completely consumed by madness and he’s saying how much he loves her and he’s loyal to her, then he stabs her when he gets close enough. It’s obviously traumatizing for him to do because he does love her.”
He said Jon will be pretty defeated and traumatized. In a way as a Jonerys shipper it will help me cope. That Jon had to kill Daenerys to stop her from killing anymore people and for the good of the realm
This is still going to make me scream bloody murder.
At least with Jean, she had the Phoenix Force to blame. Not her fault.
Well. I guess you could say the same for Dany except the one thing that tu ry Ned her evil is not an external mystical force but the writers themselves.
I just think that this dumb honorable son of a bitch is going to execute her. Okay. That’s cool.
I’m just gonna sit here and question my life and why I ever bothered with this fucking show.
LOL, the best way to cope with that shit, in my opinion, is to NOT watch it and refuse to accept it as canon. It never happened, that’s it.

This is D&D writing themselves in a corner* and privileging Subverting Expectations/Twists over Sound Character Development and Narration.
I’m firmly op the opinion that D&D reversed the order of ASoIaF (The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring). In ASoIaF, the final battle is the War for the Dawn. The ultimate villains are the Others. Humanity has to bond together to beat the cold inhumanity of the Great Other. Spring has to come after Winter.
However, D&D aren’t interested in the magical storyline. They’re primarily focused on the political one (the fight for the Iron Throne), which IN ITSELF is a major betrayal of the source material, since the IT is so obviously a red herring… The throne does not matter, people!, the petty political fights between characters do not matter!, and once the Wall comes tumbling down at the end of TWOW, our protagonists shall have to set aside their differences to fight this all-consuming threat.
*By turning around the order of events, D&D have fucked up their own story. By eliminating the NK/WW so early on in the season, they missed out on ASoIaF’s real climax… Which –according to their logic of Sound Character Development and Narration < Subverting Expectations/Twists– necessitated that they create ANOTHER Big Twist at the end of the story, i.e. Mad Queen!Dany. Otherwise, Dany would take the throne too easily, you see, which would undermine the “ShOckInG” reputation of GoT and make the ending too goddamn happy. (Fuck them, really, happy endings are a GOOD thing.)
Like, I do believe that some S8 events will happen in the books. I do think KL will burn, for example, but it’ll happen completely differently. Why? Because D&D have cut CRUCIAL storylines out of the show, which negatively impacts the whole thing, i.e. fAegon and JonCon, Stannis, Dorne, etc. And so, events that belong to the cut storylines are somewhat introduced in the show, because they’re eDgY (e.g. the burning of KL), but in a totally acontextual way, which is why the writing is so… Awful.
In short, this is not GRRM’s ending. GRRM hasn’t read the S8 scripts and washed his hands off the whole shitfest a long-ass time ago AND SO SHOULD WE. Thank you.
