Whether it's with a Pixelbook Pen, a touchscreen stylus, or even your finger, you can create your own designs with Canvas. Your drawings are synced to your Google account, so you can get to them anywhere.
Note: The Pixelbook Pen should be used with a Pixelbook (2017) or Pixel Slate device. The Pixelbook Pen is not compatible with the Pixelbook Go.

Create a drawing
Use the Pixelbook Pen, your fingertip, or a mouse to create your drawing.
- In the corner of your screen, select the Launcher Up arrow .
- Open Canvas .
- At the top left, choose what you would like to draw on:
- To draw on a blank canvas, select New drawing.
- To draw on a background, select New from image.
- Select a drawing tool from the menu on the left.
When using the pencil drawing tool with the Pixelbook Pen, you can make thicker or thinner lines by adjusting the amount of pressure.

Note: You can also open Canvas from your Chrome browser.
Share your drawing
- In the corner of your screen, select the Launcher Up arrow .
- Open Canvas .
- Select the drawing you would like to export.
- At the top right, select More .
- Select Export drawing.
- To open the drawing in your Downloads folder, select Show in Folder.
Change a brush's size or transparency
- In the corner of your screen, select the Launcher Up arrow .
- Open Canvas .
- Open a drawing or create a new one.
- On the left, select the drawing tool you want to draw with.
- To change the size or opacity, select the tool again.
Fix problems using Canvas
If you are having trouble using Canvas and keep being taken back to the sign-in screen, please check that your settings and extensions are not blocking Google cookies on https://canvas.apps.chrome.
