Frankfurt, Germany: 5 Vonovia Cars Destroyed – Long Live Liebig34

In Frankfurt, in the period from August-September, a total of 5 cars of Vonovia’s housing mafia were destroyed in the districts of Rödelheim, Nied, Praunheim, Nordweststadt and Bornheim by some autonomous nocturnal activists in wise foresight of the threatened eviction of Liebig34 .
In each case, the tires were slashed, the windows smashed, and the exterior was extensively embellished with paint or lettering.
Our actions are directed against the Vonovia company, which is responsible for repression and gentrification here in Frankfurt and in many other places, and against the pigs in politics, economy and the repressive apparatus, which were responsible for the eviction in Berlin.

At 7:00 a.m. Robocops started sawing and flexing fences, doors, windows and barricades and at 11:00 a.m. the last inhabitants* of the Liebig34 were dragged out of the rooms.
We are sad. We are crying. We are exhausted. WE ARE ANGRY.
They can‘t imagine the determination they have awakened in us. This act of violence will explode in an act of counter-violence and self-defense. Already so much solidarity has happened in the last nights, months, years and has shown what we are capable of doing. This eviction is a moment of radicalization. We can use it and together we can express our hatred for this shit.
Even if the press, politicians, cops and Nazis are now taking pleasure in our loss, we are turning powerlessness into anger. So many borders have been crossed. We shout NO in your spiteful eats. You can have our house, you will never get our passion. We are so much more than this house – we are anarchists, feminists, queers and antifascists who will now channel their anger and attack capitalist patriarchy to the last.

Berlin: Two excavators torched on Implenia construction site – Defend Liebig34! (Germany)

On October 9, the Anarcha-Queer Feminist House Project at Liebig Strasse 34 is to be evacuated. Another eviction that joins a long list of forced evictions and displacement processes of recent years, which are always enforced with all violence and political will, no matter what government. Just like the “Schwarzer Kanal” car park, which resided on the banks of the Spree on Michaelkirchstraße until 2010.
Today, Kreuzberg is the figurehead for marketing strategies to attract nouveau riche and technology companies. And what is still missing there is of course nothing other than luxury apartments and start-up offices. So even this last fallow area of the former car park is disappearing beneath the concrete. Pressure to perform, competition and smart separation are promising. The Elements, as the construction project is called, is being implemented by the Swiss construction company Implenia, which recently achieved some notoriety for its involvement in the new prison building in Basel.
Whoever came up with this name in his or her styled office, whoever is responsible for the construction in the executive suites and political rooms – let them know that we are not forgetting the history that this place actually tells us. Just try to bury it with your diggers, it continues to grow between us and in other places. These are the moments when we discussed at the fire bucket and laughed under trees. Moments when we met in places like these, became rebellious and organized against the monotony and cruelty of the conditions that surround us.
We have no hope in the political theater of parliaments. Politics puts its protective hand over capital and sends its willing henchmen to beat us out of our homes if the law so wishes. There can be no dialogue, because the rulers have long since made it clear where they stand. Innumerable occupations of the last years have been mercilessly cleared away. Tenants are thrown onto the street in the middle of a pandemic, while at the same time there is talk of consideration. There is actually no more dishonest way of doing things.
Well, we will not leave this eviction unanswered either. Because what we are left with is solidarity and the knowledge that we can strike back at any time. Like last night, when we used incendiary devices to torch two excavators at the construction site of “The Elements”. Maybe you should think about the four elements again, fire doesn’t seem to get you very well at least.

How is it possible that in times when a second wave of Corona and #StayHome is expected, a home is to be evicted by so many people?
How is it possible that especially now, in times of fascist marches and a shift to the right, a feminist, leftist and queer house project is being attacked so massively?

Connect Urban Struggles – Defend Autonomous Spaces
Over the last years we experience a global resurgence of reactionary politics. State and capital, in a constant process of intensifying exploitation and expanding repression, used the global capitalist crisis, which started a decade ago, as a chance to further restructure relations of power in their advantage. Their political answer is materialized in a shift to the right, with a political alliance of neoliberal economic policies coupled with strong nationalistic narratives and repressive policies against resistance and progressive movements. The new face of authoritarianism has unleashed an all out attack against individuals it considers unnecessary or those that choose to resist and collectivize against the ruin of their lives. In our current period, states the world over used measures against Covid-19 to extend repression, policing and surveillance against societies. At the same time, the failings of neoliberal healthcare systems have led to masses of deaths and increasing inequality due to access to healthcare.
To all of this, people in different areas of the world answer with massive resistance on the streets. Movements with different perspectives have revolted, for example in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, or more recently in France and the USA. The common thread of all these movements is their distance from institutionalized and systemic politics and the choice of self-organization and horizontalism in the fight against authority. (more…)

ACTIONWEEK FOR LIEBIG34 – 07.09 – 13.09.20
Liebig 34 is being threatend by eviction. When state, cops and the owner want to evict, they will only have a desaster on their hands. As an anarcha-queer-feminist selforganized house-project without cis-men, directly at the square „Dorfplatz“ in Friedrichshain, Liebig 34 is a place where resistance actions and collective moments are decided and organized. A place where self-organization becomes a dangerous word, where a project is becoming a starting point of struggles and not just a space of self-reference and alternative entertainment. The project itself has taken part in the planning of many of demonstrations, published numerous calls and texts and carried out various radical actions. But it is also a symbol of radicalization and empowerment for the antagonistic scene in Berlin and in Germany, as it shows how to fight various forms of resistance.
Liebig34 consists of a collective which is working with a focus to overcome more and more internalized structures of capitalism and patriarchy. In a world where patriarchy makes up one of the main pillars of the capitalist system, militant feminist groups and collectives, which make clear that the resistance and the fighting back is not a cis-men privilege, are more than necessary. In a patriarchal world, in which patriarchy and capitalism are interwoven, it is more than necessary to actually fight patriarchy and not have it be a sidenote in a text. Let us not be divided by oppression and let’s fight together in this for a liberated society.

Berlin : For the situation of the occupied houses in the north Friedrichshain neighborhood (Germany)

Some information about the new attempt to evict Rigaer94 has already been spread in the last days, here is a summary also with regard to the threatened Liebig34.
Since the last major attack on Rigaer94 in Summer 2016, the coalition of the alleged owner of the house and Berlin Police has lost all legal proceedings. At the same time the „owner“ of Liebig34 was successful in court with his action for eviction. The distance between the two squats is 100 meters and in this area the cops and the image of the city of Berlin suffer a lot of damage. Some call this a lawless area and a danger zone, but here there is a neighborhood based on solidarity and resistance structures. The current legal situation of Rigaer94 is as follows : on 4 floors in the back house a collective lives together, which also runs the bar and meeting point Kadterschmiede. On the ground floor the autonomous youth club Keimzelle squats their rooms. In the front building friends and other parts of the collective live in the flats. Both in the front and in the back we have valid rental contracts for some rooms, some of the rooms, including Kadterschmiede, are occupied. The aim of “Lafone Investment Ltd”, the Police and the Berlin government is to evict us completely from this house, because they hope that this will put an end to the solidarious neighborhood and its constant attacks against them. In addition, the clearing of Liebig34 seems very difficult to them as long as we still exist.
The cops, deputies and the press are staging a campaign that targets individual people in the house and marks the massive doors and the barricades as a problem. We do not know yet if the attack of the cops against our house on the morning of the 9th of July was ordered by the Minister of the Interior or if parts of the police have become independent. In fact they committed the same mistake as in 2016, when they also carried out an operation that was judged illegal by the court. On 9th of July the cops, partly together with an alleged administrator of the owner and a lawyer, searched apartments in the front building, evacuated one apartment and tried to clear another. The cops cited forgery of documents and the injury of an officer as the reasons for the raid. They came with their own 200 forces, a dozen private mercenaries from a security company and construction workers, it was reported that some of them had Combat18 tattoos. They destroyed all doors in the entrance area, some apartment doors and walls and devastated everything they could reach. Responsibility claim – Solidarity for squats, attack against LIDL supermarket (Greece)

In the night of July 23rd we sprayed slogans in solidarity to the squats Liebig34 and Rigaer94 in Berlin on the LIDL supermarket in Neos Cosmos / Athens. After we destroyed all windows with hammers.
Every eviction has its price. This is a message do all those responsible for the aggressive gentrification of many European cities, which always goes on with the eviction of squats, the state terror against the radical movement and the rising of rents. We noticed the eviction thread against Liebig34 in Berlin and the attack by so called owners and their companies together with the cops against Rigaer94. With the eviction of Dervenion56 in Exarchia the government of ND continues its operations against the combative and solidarity resistance, which we always will be – with squats or without.
One of many answers to an evicted squat is the destruction of a consumer symbol the capitalist system offers to the inmates of the prisons called the Metropolis. To support the struggle of our comrades in Berlin we found a German company, but it can be also real estate agencies or luxury cars or tourism.
The LIDL supermarket chain was targeted already some time ago in Germany because of its bad working conditions for their employees. This action is an offering of solidarity to this aggressive campaign against the working conditions in LIDL WORLDWIDE. 8 to 10 hours per day with a fake smile for pity money, sitting in front of hundreds of products, in a cashier, becoming a robot which just counts and counts. Or lifting big weights destroying your back. Why all these? What is the role of supermarkets ?
Supermarket are big financial mechanisms which seem very innocent to the majority of the people. The truth is, they are not.
Colonilization
Supermarket are colonizing the economies of local societies in all the earth. All the small markets, grocery stores and other kind of shops are shutting down whenever a new supermarket is opening. There is no need for a new supermarket in most of the areas, its just matter of expanding and absorbing. Also, is reducing the use of local products and producers. Slowly slowly, the residents of an area are becoming workers, mainly women, of this industry, losing all their independence (even in liberal terms)
Anti-ecological
The opening of chain supermarkets, local or multinational, is also increasing importing of products. This is happening because the production companies are
exploiting people in a cheaper way in other countries, or because they make better offers to a multinational company because of the massive consumption. What is happening at the end is a big consumption of petrol by the ships to transfer products all around the world. The paradox of capitalism, the fact that a product from 2000 miles far is cheaper than the local, is killing faster the nature.
Food Control
All these brings us to the bigger problem. Supermarkets are the greatest tool for multinational food companies to takeover all of our nutrition process. We eat shit, we don‘t produce anything, we need money to buy everything, we need to work for them for ever to be able to buy them and cure our selves from the sickness their food is creating
Do we smash supermarket?
Yes we do. But we have to know that most of the people will not understand why. So we must do more propaganda against this mechanism. And for sure it is better to smash without people being inside. Our target is to spread fear to the side of the bosses not to the side of the random population. But if somebody break a supermarket with people inside without putting someone in danger, its okay, we can overpass it.

Solidarity means attack – no eviction remains without response
Today (10/7/2020), as a first response to the raid and evictions in the front building of Rigaer94, we attacked a branch of the Berliner Sparkasse in Lichtenberg with stones and destroyed the windows.
The raid and eviction are the beginning of the planned elimination of various projects in the coming months. In addition to an attack on one of our spaces, yesterday’s raid concerned the extension of the siege in the northern district of Friedrichshshain and the attempt to prepare the framework for the eviction of Liebig34. This will not remain without consequences. With our action we call for
decentralized actions against their plans. We do not want to wait for Day X, the phase of evictions has already begun and we must give a strong, collective response on the streets.
In doing so, we are joining the call of the Koukaki Squats in Athens in order to enter into dialogue with the comrades there who are facing similar challenges. The evacuation of Dervenion56 in Exarchia was the occasion for this international call [1]. (more…)

Berlin, Germany: Solidarity Means Attack – Action for Squats in Greece

On the 6th of January, we chose to open a banner amidst the crossroad of Liebig and Rigaer Strasse and attack a police car in order to show our solidarity with the threatened house projects in Berlin and the evicted squats in Athens.
The banner says: “Solidarity with Squats in Greece – Revenge 4 Koukaki Eviction”.
When it was installed across the street, a patrol car arrived and was attacked with stones by the backup team and forced to flee.
There are some similar conditions for the anarchist movement in Berlin and Athens, for example the aim of the government to eliminate us and take our neighborhoods and occupied spaces. Despite the differences between the movement in Germany and Greece, the enemy is the same. The smell of garbage in uniforms is the same, the barriers of the prison is the same. Ultimately, the goal of these two states are the same, to eliminate the resistance of the fighting anarchist movements.

“Raided. Radical. Motivated.” : Liebig 34 – Berlin (Germany)

This morning [20/7], the cops of the LKA 5.21 unit under the command of Kranich raided Liebig34. Unusual was the saturday, unusual the mix of units from different departments. New were a few civil cop faces, not new: the repression.
The reason for this raid was probably stones thrown from the house during the last few weeks. After the cops collected stones from the Dorfplatz around 2:30 this morning, they obtained a court order and search warrant to search part of our house and returned around 6:30 a.m.. They came through the backyard and the front door, sawed the doors and barris, picked them up and thus forcibly gained access to our project. A lawyer was quickly on the scene and was able to observe and testify. Altogether the cops were about three hours in the house, having searched officially and intensively three connected rooms and the attic. They also snooped around in unlocked private rooms, tore posters from the walls, knocked over furniture, cut internet cables and destroyed windows. (more…)

This morning 6:30, the police broke into Liebig34 to search evidence and DNA in one room. The reason is an attack with stones against repression forces on Friday night. Soon after many riot police vans and a helicopter arrived, a barricade was burning in Rigaer Street. After some hours police left, no one was arrested. There is a call for resistance tonight and solidarity actions. More info as it comes.

Berlin: The Fight for Liebig34 goes further (Germany)

The Fight for Liebig34 goes further.
The Court hearing for the eviction of our anarcha-queer-feminist housing project will take place on the 20th of September 2019. Padovicz wants to snitch away the house, while the politicians are trying to keep our mouths shut. Both parties are awaiting a final court decision. We do not let any cis-men decide about the future of our anarcha-queer-feminist project, cause simply no one should decide about us, but ourselves.
The last weeks in Nordkiez
Lateley, the presence of cops in our neighbourhood increased massively. Helicopters are flying daily and nightly over our roofs. Multiple police vans drive through our streets and ID-controls become part of everyday normality.
Also, during our self-organized neighbour fest in which a lot of children participated, the cops reacted in an aggressive way, trying to ruin our day. Several persons sympathising with our project, have been arrested and taken into custody. The arrests of these friends were very violent and sexist. Whether it’s about getting a coffee in the morning at the other side of the street or having dinner in front of our house, the cops find ways to intimidate us. The system of state tries to silence us by all means. As a consequence, we face daily confrontation with the cops. However, their provocation is not something we allow to set us back or keep us small. It is something that encourages us to resist.
We are aware that their violent behaviour is purely a reaction on our mobilization in our joint-fight against gentrification, patriarchy and capital. All of this, shows us, that our battle against “the city of the rich and powerful” is effectively starting to worry the establishment.
A glance into our future
It remains important to not let them take away Dorfplatz and the neighbourhood, but to show presence, since we want to shift life and summer to the streets in Berlin. Let us all together. Let us express to Padovicz and everyone else what we think of this court date which we received. Be creative and support us with solidarity actions. Further, it’s fundamental that the focus is not only on the eviction day of Liebig34, but that decentralized actions happen everywhere at any moment.
We won’t be robbed of our desires and conviction when our house will be evicted. The fight against capital and patriarchy is not solely connected to one day or one project. Let’s form rebellious feminist gangs!
We will continue to battle further for a life free of hierarchies, away from patriarchy and capitalism. For a liberated society in which living spaces are no commodities in a consumerist world.
