Typical Labor - using the COVID credit card of $25 billion in new state debt to pay for their old, bungled, blown out projects. Victorians get no new jobs, no new projects - just new debt.

In Victoria, we've flattened the curve, but we've also flattened the economy. We need bold thinking to get Victoria back to work and back in business. Today I launched the Liberals and Nationals' plan to do just that. You can read our plan at:

127,100 Victorians lost their jobs last month. In flattening the curve, we’ve flattened the economy. That’s why I’ve proposed a $1 billion fund to bring manufacturing home to Victoria. Let’s grow local jobs, promote R&D, back local innovation and get Vic back to work

Victorian businesses are on life support. So are Victorian jobs. That's why the Liberals + Nationals are calling for a big cut to payroll tax to 30/6/21 to give our economy the heart starter it needs to get Victorians back to work.

Sadly, shows Victoria suffered the biggest loss of jobs between March and April: 8.6% - the worst in the nation. The Andrews government has also imposed the harshest lockdown restrictions of any state. Victoria urgently needs a path out of Labor’s lockdown

Tourism in regional Victoria is struggling through one of the toughest years on record, with the bushfire crisis and COVID-19 keeping people away. But small businesses in towns like Bright are finding ways to make it through to the other side.

This “extension” is just a backdown. The original application process never said eligibility was restricted to certain industries. Thousands rejected and left with no support for weeks. This delay in support will be the finish for some small businesses.
