gvSIG Educa is the project that adapts the gvSIG Suite to the field of education. The objective is to be a tool for educators to make analysis and understanding of the territory easier for students, having the possibility to be adapted to different levels or educational systems.

gvSIG Batoví appears under this idea. It's a distribution of gvSIG Desktop for educational field.

gvSIG Batoví is applied to the teaching of geography subjects, and it's useful for learning any subject that uses the territorial component, such as history, economics, natural sciences, sociology ...

It facilitates learning by interactivity of students with information, adding the spatial component to the study of subjects, and making the assimilation of concepts easyier using tools as visual as thematic maps.
