Shouldn't be lost that Trump and Republicans have openly tried to subvert a free and fair election and attack the democratic process. He tried to get Ukraine to interfere, he attacked the USPS, he attacked mail in ballots, disinformation, and now all this nonsense.

A sitting president undermining our political process & questioning the legality of the voices of countless Americans without evidence is not only dangerous & wrong, it undermines the very foundation this nation was built upon. Every American should have his or her vote counted.

Trump starts with a clear lie. "If you count the legal votes, I easily win," he said. No indication any of the votes currently being counted are illegal.

Trump knows he's going to lose NV, PA, AZ and maybe GA. Rather than own his losses, he'll try to burn down the house. He's been a threat to democracy from day one. He's even more of a threat now.

If you’re an elected official and you’re silent about the president’s assault on our democracy, it should haunt you for the rest of your life. This is a career defining moment.

"What a sad night for the United States of America to hear their President say that,"  says on CNN. "To falsely accuse people of trying to steal the election, to try to attack democracy that way with his feast of falsehoods. Lie after lie after lie."

Trump opens his news conference by saying "if you count the legal vote, I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us." This is a lie. There is no evidence of election fraud.
