Just what I needed . . . a lady catching a foul ball and making fun of me for missing it. This was a TOUGH day in Philadelphia, and I seriously needed some good luck at the end of the night. For this game only, the Phillies were using commemorative "Wall of Fame" balls for Bobby Abreu, who was honored in a big pre-game ceremony.
Aaron Nola pitched great in this interleague matchup against the Chicago White Sox. Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins hit back-to-back home runs. I had fancy tickets in the Diamond Club behind home plate. It was a fun night to be in Philly, but it was super tough to get baseballs.

This was THE MOST embarrassing thing EVER. How much did it hurt? Did I even get the ball? Did everyone immediately make fun of me on social media? (Spoiler alert: Yes!)
I've jumped over rows of seats dozens of times during batting practice and never had an issue, but the first time I tried doing it during a game turned into a complete disaster. Of course! That's just how it goes, and all I can do at this point is laugh about it.
Aside from my ridiculous blooper, it was otherwise a VERY good day for me at Citizens Bank Park. The Philadelphia Phillies faced the San Francisco Giants, who were using commemorative 2020 All-Star Game baseballs during batting practice. I had heard about these special balls ahead of time, so my goal was catch one. (Another spoiler alert: I got more than one and I'm giving one away as a contest on Instagram, so be sure to follow me there: @zack_hample.)

I want to showcase that I had an athlete named Stephen Pirolli who has passed away from a drunk driver who T-Boned him and his dad on their trip back from a baseball trip. Citizens Bank Park
Citizens Bank Park is a baseball park located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, within the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. It is the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise. It is commonly referred to by locals simply as "The Bank" or "CBP". Citizens Bank Park opened on April 3, 2004, and hosted its first regular season baseball game on April 12 of the same year, with the Phillies losing to the Cincinnati Reds, 4–1. The ballpark was built to replace the now-demolished Veterans Stadium (a football/baseball multipurpose facility), and features natural grass and dirt playing field and also features a number of Philadelphia-style food stands, including several which serve cheesesteaks, hoagies, and other regional specialties. The ballpark lies on the northeast corner of the Sports Complex, which includes Lincoln Financial Field, Wells Fargo Center, and Xfinity Live!. The stadium's capacity is 43,651 seats.

2007 Citizens Bank 400
The 2007 Citizens Bank 400 was the 15th race of the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series season. It was held on June 17, 2007 at Michigan International Speedway, located in the town of Brooklyn, Michigan, about 80 miles west of Detroit.
After this race, 11 races remained to set the field for the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup.
Qualifying
J.J. Yeley won his first career pole with a fast lap of 187.505 miles per hour, or 38.399 seconds. Jimmie Johnson fell short of Yeley's lap by .001 second. Ryan Newman, who had won the three previous poles, qualified fourth.
Michael Waltrip made only his third race in 15 tries. Ironically, he had announced earlier that week that he was stepping aside for the following week's race, the Toyota/Save Mart 350, in favor of two-time series champion Terry Labonte.
Race
Carl Edwards won the Citizens Bank 400 for his first win in the NEXTEL Cup Series since November 4, 2005 at Texas Motor Speedway, a span of 52 races. Edwards took the lead from Johnson on lap 166 (out of 200) and never lost it.

For this game only, the Phillies were using commemorative "Wall of Fame" balls for Bobby Abreu, who was honored in a big pre-game ceremony.
Aaron Nola pitched great in this interleague matchup against the Chicago White Sox. Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins hit back-to-back home runs. I had fancy tickets in the Diamond Club behind home plate. It was a fun night to be in Philly, but it was super tough to get baseballs.

I've jumped over rows of seats dozens of times during batting practice and never had an issue, but the first time I tried doing it during a game turned into a complete disaster. Of course! That's just how it goes, and all I can do at this point is laugh about it.

I want to showcase that I had an athlete named Stephen Pirolli who has passed away from a drunk driver who T-Boned him and his dad on their trip back from a baseball trip. He was a DIE HARD Phillies fan and we would talk about baseball and our teams ALL the time when he trained. I definitely miss that athlete. RIP.

Citizens Bank Park
Citizens Bank Park is a baseball park located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, within the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. It is the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise. It is commonly referred to by locals simply as "The Bank" or "CBP". Citizens Bank Park opened on April 3, 2004, and hosted its first regular season baseball game on April 12 of the same year, with the Phillies losing to the Cincinnati Reds, 4–1. The ballpark was built to replace the now-demolished Veterans Stadium (a football/baseball multipurpose facility), and features natural grass and dirt playing field and also features a number of Philadelphia-style food stands, including several which serve cheesesteaks, hoagies, and other regional specialties. The ballpark lies on the northeast corner of the Sports Complex, which includes Lincoln Financial Field, Wells Fargo Center, and Xfinity Live!. The stadium's capacity is 43,651 seats.
